logic is amazing but has a bit of a learning curve.
live is also amazing, but for different things.
pro tools is pretty simple to use but lacks depth.
cubase is somewhere in the middle of logic/pro tools in terms of both user-friendliness and usability.
what are you going to use it for? i think that's the most important thing to think about...
i use:
live for working on ideas because of the interface, looping features and plug ins.
logic for finishing tracks, doing automation, using plug ins.

I've got an mbox mini, so that works great for just doing little demos. But if I got Logic it would be for recording finished tracks. I'm trying to build a small studio so I can record music whenever I want.
