Oh wait, bubble gum's illegal here.

That's still the case, hey? I remember back in the 90s when that American got in trouble for his gum use and he was spanked on the butt with a cane a few times... Next time you're in Canada I'll get you all the bubble gum you can handle! *smile*

Yessir, this forum has convinced me of the importance of effects loops, I'm a believer!

This may sound stupid, I don't know, but maybe you wouldn't even need modulation if you have a loop, because you could just add your favourite Virabto/Chorus pedal and use that.
And it could leave room for something else Dr. Scientist-ish!

buy a cosmichorus and a sunny day delay, dial in a nice chorus, run it into the sunny day delay set to 400ms with 3-4 repeats, and enjoy

or go back to 1985
I don't see what the deal is, it was nastycheesy
Blind test, Moog and SDD were freakin bomb, echozar on neck = beautiful. echozar on bridge. nastynastynasty

Interesting comparison. Kinda difficult to judge with all that modulation going on in so many samples, but the chorus on that SuperDelay is just gorgeous. I kinda felt bad for the Sunny Day, it sounded good but doesn't have those kinds of bells n whistles (a lot cheaper too!). Straight up delay tone, I loved the Moog. Sounded like it was being overdriven slightly. I'm gonna go look for samples with that Gain knob being tweaked now. Kind of a pity Moogerfoogers are so gigantic... and expensive.

Right on, Austin, thanks for posting that! I didn't know those guys had that... it's the only one like that too, think it went to one of the Moog stores. That's a pretty fun looking stage...

It was a fun video to do!
Dunno if anyone's interested in my take but the delays I ended up keeping around were:
Sunny Day!
Empressss VMSD
H&K Replex
Echoczar
and of course the 'ol Roland Chorus echo.
I kept the moog for a bit but unfortunately (for me) the need for funds made me hock it a while back.
The Replex, empress and SDD are on my main live board and I kept the Echoczar for it's tweekability in the studio. If it had a tap tempo, it would probably replace the vmsd but I think I'd be one of the few noticing a diff at a show...
I agree with someone who said the Diamond wasn't all that. I know a lot of people love that pedal but It wasn't my thing either. Had High hopes because it was a analog delay with tap. Just couldn't get it to sound that great to me.

Hey Taylor, nice to see you around! It really makes my day that the SDD holds up with those top guns of the delay pedal world, thanks again for doing such a cool shootout.
