Apparently the new disaster transport has been reworked to be almost a different sounding pedal (compared to the old version)...though I don't know if anyone has one yet.

Memory toy +Akai Headrush is a winning combination for me. EVERYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF CAN BE DONE WITH THESE TWO PEDALS. Plus, delayed delay rules.

more and more posts seem to be suggesting the memory boy/toy. the price seems like an incredible bargain.

I don't know if they've fixed up the Memory Boy yet, but the one common problem with them is suddenly dying. Also, the max delay time isn't exactly what it says it is since the weather somehow effects it. I have heard a few problems of it having clock noise issues as well.

However, most Memory Boy units work well and for the price it is almost a steal. Doesn't match the sound of a DMM, but it is lush and dark. However, if you want a brighter analog delay, you might want to look elsewhere.

i think i'm actually gonna end up going for the freakshow effects Digilog. it's an analog voiced digital, and i've yet to hear a bad thing about them. price is semi reasonable, sounds great, and it looks cool too.

no one mentioned about the vox time machine???
it has great crispy high if that is what you are looking for.
2 modes (vintage + modern), tap button.

Line6 DL4 is a go if you like tap dancing a lot, all those presetsssss man.
i don't consider it's a great sounding pedal but it is so handy that everyone has them on their board
mine has been there for quite a long time.

DMM is a great pedal if that is what you are looking for.
i would consider it as something in its own catagory instead of calling it a delay tho.

personally think the MB sound is quite ummm.. not quite up to a standard... while knowing what can be achieved on a DMM... yes, it's great for the money

but... HEY it's pedal money!!!

i bet everyone here is going to spend all their pedal money anyway... and consider the 'pedal board real estate situation' has always been a problem. we'd better get the best out of every pedal :p
grr, the DMM is huge tho.

IDK. for post-rock stuff i've always seen a preponderance of Boss Delays on pedalboards more than anything else. esp the Gigadelay for that one-man band post-rock looping thing.

I took my 616 to band practice last night for the first time and left the DMM at home, fit everything on my board no problem for the first time ever...... good times......
