I am saddened by this, yet I am not. I loved Wavering Radiant and if there is a way to go out on a high note, that would be it. It's too bad though because I got into them only a few years ago and now I'll never see them live. :(

Good god, they were fucking EPIC last night. I took 3 buddies who didn't even know who Isis was, and they were all floored. That encore was ridonkulous.

I have never been less than amazed by them.

It's like when you go see a band with a bunch of local or unknown openers. They might be good, but then a band like ISIS takes the stage and you can see how they just FUCKING OWN IT in every way possible. The whole demeanor is just different.

Any highlights from the show?

If they played "Dulcinea" or "Weight" I will be unhappy.

No big surprises on this one, just fucking perfectly executed. To me, Ghost Key and So Did We were the standouts.

I got to see them live in a tiny club in San Diego several years ago.

EPIC. BEYOND. REASON.

My neck hurt like fuck for a solid day afterward. :joy:

Still haven't picked up Wavering Radiant, my favourite is Oceanic followed closely by Celestial.

I hope Old Man Gloom keeps releasing stuff.

One more line break.

Both epic tunes for sure!

"So Did We" holds a special place in my heart because it lived in my CD changer at disc #1 for a summer and many times late at night during parties it would unexpectedly roar forth from the speakers.

Some of the lame-os I used to hang out with didn't appreciate it as much as I did.

Don't know how anyone wouldn't appreciate what Isis was doing. The dynamics of the band are forever encased in Panopticon. The lyrics, the way they are sung, the notes being played, clean passages to wall of sound, it just makes sense. Panopticon is first for me. Wavering Radiant is second for me because I love psychedelic music and it feels like what Lateralus felt to me when I heard that. It evokes imagination and infinity.

It's sad that Isis won't be around to close out 2012

I feel exactly the same, that Wavering Radiant is my second favorite after Panopticon.

Definitely Panopticon FTW.

My second favorite moves around depending on mood.

Good to know that other people fucking love panopticon. I'd have to say that celestial holds my second favorite a majority of the time though.

The others move around depending on mood as well.
