That's when you know the drone is good.

Tuning oscillations is the best, I'm a big fan of looping oscillating delays into reverb for pads.

But playing scattato chords with the oscillation tuned to a low fundamental is one of my favorite things to do. And what BoatRich said.

I do tune them for a couple of songs, though. Taming noise can be fun. Letting it rip you to shreds can be fun. It's all good.
