Everyone knows that you just fucking gun the gain on everything and you don't need to tune down. Although it's sometimes nice

Sounds cool and interesting. We had to conduct an experiment then write up a report and analyze the data like a small research article in my undergrad program. I ended up doing an experiment looking at context based learning and recall. Turned out pretty well but my sample size was too small to show significance, but my effect size was large enough to suggest significance at a higher sample size. We didn't have to do a dissertation for my grad program, but we had to do 750 hours of internship work, so I was really happy to avoid the dissertation.CaptainBoxman wrote:Only doing my first BSC in Psychology. The dissertation is kind of hard to explain in few words, but I can tell you it's a write up of an experiment into complimentary effects and interactions between mirror neurons and affordances. I'll work out how best to say it and EDIT this post in a minute.
Yeah. I suck terribly at online classes though - too much cool shit on the internet and within reach of my computer to really focus. And one of these days I'll actually find myself in RDU to catch a show and jam.crohny wrote:Online classes sound ideal for you. Minus it's just another excuse to not come out this way to jam.![]()
A leg up is a huge benefit now considering the demand for jobs and state of the economy being extremely fragile still. With a bleak outlook on the future of this country anything to give you a leg up and ensure finacial security in some form is a huge benefit. Plus online courses should be cheaper in theory.
Glad you're here vidvidret wrote:4 days and you guys made 200 pages? you've really been holding it in while hcfx got update-raped.
taking refuge here. thanks for starting a new doom room.
I hear you on the time man. It took me 2.5 years to complete my MS in Counseling. It was a fucking 60 hour program. Which is what most law schools are. It's not even funny how much less I make than lawyers. Of course I don't work 90 hours a week took keep my job and 'pay my dues.'deathmonkey wrote:Grad school, The biggest waste of 5 years of my life. Not entirely, but still. I would have a PhD if i had gone to a different school/Chosen a differnt advisor. 5 years and only a MS in Chemistry. BOoooo.
I'm sort of fine with it now, but it would have been nice making double what i make now. hahaha.
I do not miss writing my dissertation though. I lost about 40 pounds while doing it, Slept about 2 hours a night and lived off of red bull for 3 months. You guys can have that.
Nice! I did data management/analysis for a grant in grad school that was always getting published. I kept trying to sneak in a fourth or fifth author but always got shot downnew05002 wrote:my advisors are pretty cool. I have 3 journal publications as of now so I can start shit going.
Plus it's like Timothy Leary's 'Turn on, Tune in, Drop out' so three makes more sense.new05002 wrote:actually the first version of that included that but people said it was 2 long for 4 phrases so i cut it shorted

Ahhhhhh premarital counseling classes.... I remember those. The woman is in charge but its her job to let the man think he is, make lots of babies cause its what the big man up stairs wants, the woman gets to voice her opinion and the man should strongly consider it but his word is the end of it, etc, etc.... so much funskullservant wrote:Thanks dudeAncient Astronaught wrote:Congratz Broham!!!!!!!!skullservant wrote:Welp, about a month and a half until me and the lady get hitched. We had our first premarital counseling on Sunday. We've got 4 more classes which leads us right up to the wedding. Also putting a firm halt on orders and stuff so we can prepare all the crafts and stuff we are doing
hahaha Ours just said no relations while going through his counseling, he said hes not stupid the likely hood of either of us not having pre marital relations is like less then 1%....skullservant wrote:hahahahha I was really honestly surprised with some of the things her pastor said in regards to wanting every potential married couple to engage in relations pre marriage to make sure everything is okay in that realm.
We've already got a budget going but she wants to see it in writing, as well as a genealogical family tree. It's been interesting for sure
