The rain stop and the sun came out so I split probably about an 1/8th of a cord of wood. Broke a sweat and didn't chop my leg off :animal:

This slightly effeminate man is doing MAN work. :!!!:

It warmed up too so there isn't really a need for a fire today,...

Friends are having a Cider Bee today as well,...so pressing a orchard full of apples for Cider will be cool.

i was expecting the ex over today to pick up more stuff but she didn't arrive :yay: so instead i spent the early afternoon hooking more stuff up to my incredibly ghetto stereo rig. just how ghetto? you may ask: the amplifier is the brain from a 1990s JVC boom box; i bought the Panasonic speakers for $10 on half-price sale at the local thrift shop. i already had my Numark dual-well DJ CD decks and Behringer 7-channel mixer from my rave DJ days set up, and now have the computer hooked up so i can play back and, theoretically at least, record with GarageBand. when i tried to record with MiniMe, the Mac Mini, back around 2007 the latency was awful, but that box only has 512k of memory. i'm hoping that the PowerBook, which has 1.5gb and the fastest iteration of the PowerPC chip, will work better for recording live guitar to programmed tracks. i can program like a motherfucker, but i have to be able to combine the two. but at least now everything is ready...i have tape in/outs from the mixer connected to the little computer interface thingy, and the amp is set up with my mic on a boom stand in position in front of it. when i'm ready to boogie all i have to do is get the three-pin cable for the mic out and plug it straight into the board. so i should have tunage to post before the end of the year, depending on how long it takes to program the backing parts :!!!:

i haz an envee...i really need to get some decent new clothes. i lost so much weight this last year being out of work and depressed that all my pants literally fall off me if i don't wear a belt, but money is too tight to worry about loose trousers at the moment. but at least i have excellent shoes. and when the ex moved her clothes out i discovered all kinds of shit buried in the closet i'd forgotten i even had.

my favorite comment was a tweet from Mark Knoller of CBS: "now everybody can spell Quaddafi the same way: d-e-a-d."

but yeah, you'd think he'd have buggered off to Zimbabwe or Venezuela or somewhere other than a drain pipe in his hometown.

Just ordered a ticket for the above festival. My dog is snoring on my lap and dreaming about running. I had my fist post-breakup date today.
