Depends on what you're (mostly) using it for. It's my main reverb (RM-1N post-dirt) and occasional pitch shifter, so I like it at the end. If I were using the hi/lo filter or flange I'd place it before my modulation/delays, and if I used it for, say, bitcrushing, I'd keep it closer to the dirt section.JonnyAngle wrote:Where am I supposed to put my bitquest? the DR Sci is well represented
how does all the Dr Sci dirt work together?
How do you have em setup?

they get along really well so far. Heisenburg into Frazz ( cranked basically) it gives the Frazz even more oommphh/ bite/ and gain.
so .. watch the fuck out. lol
It's a bit hard to say because of how my board is routed, but mine's out front of most things. I use it for near infinite reverb, which I don't like with dirt, so it doesn't matter where that goes. I also prefer sample rate reduction and ring modulation into dirt - I like to add harmonics with dirt to a sample rate reduced or ring modded signal. SRR makes sense to me that way as you are reducing the frequency response, so it's nice to be able to add some harmonics back into the signal afterwards. Ring mod - I like to modulate the clean signal then mess up the result - it sounds more articulate that way. Delay is nice to have pre dirt (because I already have three post dirt). They're pretty much the quests I use. Flanger is of course raddest after dirt, but I like the way the dirty flanger is on the BQ so if I need dem flanges with dirt I'll just use the dirty side.JonnyAngle wrote:Where am I supposed to put my bitquest? Love the Superego so much that I have two of them but I've never really used the look because I exclusively use the wet signal...I use it for lead/melody lines and to sound like a bowed instrument. I worry my Superego's will break and they'll discontinue them and I'll lose a big part of my sound. That effect is all over my songs on Bandcamp.Inconuucl wrote:If I end up going for the superego again, I'll probably end up sticking my Bitquest in its loops.
