The 4DPT is for the LED- its bicolor and goes from red to blue when you stomp it! ITS SOOOO COOL

I also finished the LED brick I was talking about a little earlier. I couldn't get the board with the 555 timer to actually dim the LEDs (I read later it was a common problem with the schematic I was using, great) so I just hard wired the LEDS to the DC jack. Put a piece of thick pink plastic on the back of the enclosure as well so that it can light from both sides. I think I will give the fade in/out another go some other time and use this as a nightlight instead:

This was a culmination of a couple months of dicking around with the old PT2399 delay IC. A couple guys asked if I could do up a PCB that was like my previous Neptune and Tlaloc circuits, but without modulation. So that's what I did. And I also added a tone control for the repeats (as a trimmer on the board). While goofing around, I discovered I could get ridic delay times if I really went overboard on the low-pass filtering. I'll spare you the gory tech details and just give you the specs:

It does from 60ms to about 800ms (maybe a bit more). The repeats are totally noise free up to about 600ms-ish and from there to the max it's just a tiny bit noisy. The repeats are dark and murky the way I have it configured, but you can let back in some highs with the Tone trimmer inside. There is also a multi-trimmer to control the output gain.

Anyway, pics and short demo vidja (before it was boxed up) are below. The finish is bare aluminum (lightly sanded) with solvent ink stamping for the graphics/labels. I used two knobs from an Ibanez BC-9 bi-chorus that I repaired some time ago, and a third metal knob to differentiate the Time control.

No guts yet, I can take some tonight. Not a difficult build at all. I'd say I got the board fabricated in about an hour and fifteen minutes! I LOVE it. It's like the Snazzy FX Wow and Flutter but WAY more usable and less difficult to dial in. The added fuzz makes me so HAPPY. Running fuzz into it sounds like an answering machine!

CJ, I want to try out one of those delays- you gonna have any boards for sale?

I ordered a short run that will be here in about 3 weeks. But there is also a group buy on BYOC for the Neptune Delay, which is similar and can be moded to do what this one does.

It's the same core delay circuit. This last one I did has no on-board modulation (but I added extra pads so it can be added off-board) and a tone control for the repeats. But I always just use the tone control maxed out, so it's kinda not that useful as a control (glad I made it a trimmer).

So yeah, you can jank up the delay time out past 700ms with a Neptune PCB. I working on a separate mod guide for that specifically. I just requires a few parts values changes and to solder a resistor to the Time pot. Easy stuff. Plus with the Neptune, you get that funky momentary-switch-activated pitch bending (or you can just leave that stuff off). The other main difference is that the Neptune does not have board-mounted pots. Some people prefer this, others like it board-mounted.

The guy at BYOC running the new group buy is going to post something in the BST here. He's a good guy, as obviously I trusted him with the keys to my designs.
