Here's what I was jamming with yesterday/today. Both dirts (Arc Flash and Salt Box (DOD250)) are set to really nice low gain overdrive and both of them together sounds amazing. Tone city, population me.

this looks so funnnnnn god

I really love it. It definitely needs to be upfront in the chain or have a passive pickup emulator, but it totally destroys your tone. That plus the Falma is pretty perfect.
My only gripe about the walnut facings is the knobs. They are number valued and where one is and how they work makes it hard to translate from settings you see on a recommended settings sheet or from a video, but it isn't rocket science so I am managing. I am finding that I REALLY enjoy the Drone Tone. I am a big fan of drone synths in general but I felt this was really duplicative of what I already have, plus w a looper you just make a note and done...but the walnut face plates pushed me over the edge. I'm glad it did. I'm having tons of fun jamming with a steady pulse. Even with a looper it is never really in any kind of time (at least for me)...consistent, yes, but in time...meh...? This is different. Tune it, shape it, pulse it...and jam. It really opens up my creativity to explore different ways to compliment a pulse. This will surely become a part of the tabletop, but for now, a staple on the guitar board...both of these. Need a few more dirt options, but loving it. The Pladask Taken is just so beautiful sounding too...

Only one I've tried extensively. Heard a couple of others from friends and stuff and like bands that use them. Always sounds good to me

Yeah the drone tone was appealing too, I just think I won't ever use it that much to justify its presence on the board.
@cbs your guitar is HOTTTT. I love semi-acoustic guitars, just checked on the Nelson website and I don't see that model, was it custom-made? (honestly I didn't even knew Nelson before today)

It wasn't custom he just did a small run of them a few years ago and I thought it looked super cool so I jumped on it.

Yeah that's how I found them. Sadly I'm pretty sure Bobby has stopped making guitars to focus on other pursuits. He made some cool stuff.

That's bad news, read the specs on the website and they seems to be guitars I'd love to play. What kind of pickups are those?

He wound his own - seemed to be pretty vintage spec....
I was bummed I didn't get onboard when I had the chance. Still see 'em used from time to time, but obviously, there aren't a metric tonne of these out there.

Yeah all the Nelson pickups were hand made. The pickups are crazy good. No idea what to compare them too but they're just... great.
