cave dweller. There's a weird ass PT2399 chorus thing at the circuit workshop that sounds pretty sick, too.

I guess I just need more delay, weird modulation shit, a compressor, and a Rangemaster....

which will probably take you what, all of 2 weeks?

seriously nice work. really dig the aesthetics.

Fuck offfff, I don't wanna be tempted by it anymoooore...
Really GASing for Cave Dweller parts now though. I put the Echo Base back together and it's not working, I'd rather build something a bit smaller right now and get the Base going later hnnngggg

The Echo Base is a LOT better than the Cave Dweller. The Dweller is cool but it rolls off a lot of high end which is alright for clean stuff but sucks with any dirt. There's no real mix control on it so your dry sound is also going through the PT2399 and comes out really dark. You could add a mix but then the other controls are kinda silly.

Did you socket your PT2399 on the Echo Base? Have you tried swapping in different PT2399s? A lot of PT2399s don't work, sometimes you need to try a few before you get a good one.

Skully that was freaking awesome! I especially liked it when you turned up the gain and did the ramp up mode. That was so cool!

Finished this one sometime last week, it's the Madbean Afterlife Compressor. Added an attack knob which kind of tightens things up at the cost of some bass. Seriously on all the time now. SO MANY MINUTE DETAILS. I really love listening to strings being pulled, fingers sliding, etc etc. Really brings those details out nicely. Super simple build as well. ALSO NEW MAMMOTH KNOBS ARE SEX

Yeah, I think it looks really clean, the LED with no bezel. Its a little easier for me too! And yeah Exie, I LOVE those new knobs. They're really solid and have some weight to them too

Hey, how do you guys wire pedlols? Put all the offboard stuff in there and attach wires, then connect 'em to the board? The other way around? Some other way? How do you determine the length of wire yr gonna need?
I've been trying a couple of different ways and it's still so frustrating. I know it's best to use as little wire as possible but I kinda want to double the lengths so I can flip the entire board around to troubleshoot without having to desolder it all, because nothing EVER works the first time.

I mount all the hardware in the pedal, and cut a reasonable amount of wire (the same length) for each lead, and then cut down from there before I mount it to whatever it is going to be soldered to. In other cases, like the Tap Tempo Tremolo, I just kind of guessed on the wire length and ziptied the extra together
