That'd probably be more appropriate for what I want it to do. I take it you've had good results

Got ya, I may give it a go with an mxr and see what happens. If I like, then begins the search for what'll be best for that. Nick, is that a one off? Any plans to do a run of them?
Edit, awesome dos, thanks
. Also, posting from phones and trying to get it to let me use the words I want, without correction, yay.....

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
So I "think" I had it after my always-on dirt but before my on/off dirt, but of course I haven't actually played bass with anyone since a little after New Year's, and I move things around all the time -- the con of not having a real pedalboard and a taste for using pedals on different instruments.
I just tried it both ways (hooray open string notes) and you can definitely do some tone sculpting of unwanted frequencies in the way you describe, but I tend to tailor my 'clean tone' with those sorts of things and then add distortion/fuzz later -- something that works for me because I use big muffs nearly exclusively, and those sort of envelope your signal and Muffify it.

I know that I should save up the 401k, I just want something that can satisfy my immediate gratification and I needed people to tell me no

Don't do it. You are basically giving them a large chunk of your money if you do.
D.o.S. (note correct laptop keyboard compliance) Thanks again man, I'm def going to play around with this. I think live, a lot of what I don't like gets lost in the cymbals anyways, but I just don't like having anything that induces pain in my sound, even at extreme volume levels. The trick is in getting selective about what comes out, so that the overall tone is not adversely affected.

Yeah -- I wouldn't touch my 401k for just about anything right now. It would have to be dire straights type shit.ShaunNecro wrote:I know that I should save up the 401k, I just want something that can satisfy my immediate gratification and I needed people to tell me no
I remember my mom used her 401k to save her parents failing business so that they wouldn't die in debt. Worst shit, man.

Save it. Plus, that 20ish percent early withdrawal penalty is a painful one.ShaunNecro wrote:Guys, I need some advice. I realized that I have like $6000 in my 401k, and I really want some more amps. Should I withdraw that shit and get some more, or should I be responsible and save for the future?

Now there is exactly one likable member of Lord Mantis.
Their last album was really good and they were pretty great live, though.

i did Sumac today too...its ok...a couple good songs...not 100% with it yet.
But thats a good thing, anytime i like something after the first listen it means that its going to get boring very quickly. It always takes me a while to love an album.
