first night of bar backing was a success! the kid who was supposed to train me never showed, so i got to show of my fast learner and get shit done skills, no major fuck ups, did my job well despite not really knowing where shit was and what not. packed house all night, made $150 bucks, and hoping i can work Saturday nights too along with Mondays. things may actually be changing for the better

Nice,...glad to here it man. Did the kid no call no show? Fuck that guy if he did,...that shit is uncalled for and unacceptable,...especially when he is relied upon to show the new guy the ropes. It may not show right away and I wouldn't expect anyone to say so,...but showing initiative,...listening to people that have been there longer and being prepared to work your butt off gets noticed.
I worked my first Friday which is busier than weekdays at my restaurant and had a good night, was able to keep up with the work load (considering it's a new and somewhat unfamiliar menu) and pitch in on the saute line. Also was able to get my co-worker an early night since he will have to stay late tomorrow (his normal early night).
The 8 top that came in right at closing could've fucked off but they only wanted desert which wasn't too time consuming and I made them happy with the same attention to detail on their food as I would have given anyone else. Put me behind on closing a little bit,...but I get paid by the hour.

Yaaay
I'm not completely fucked financially
I thought after my sm57 purchase and my planned cymbal purchase that I needed around 100€ more than I have.. but... turns out I have some cash at home and someone still owes me some money so... I have enough moneyz for teh stuff AND additionally I have put some money on my paypalz for the ILF secret santa thing... as soon as I get my "victim" I will stalk his/her posts and as soon as I got some info what he/she is interested in I'm ready to order enclosures/parts and start building

- as far as building goes I have set up a temporary workshop in my grandmas old bar/inn
It's all set up pretty poorly but I will be able to put together some christmas presents for y'all
(well not technically
y'all but you get the idea

)

I got to meet Mike Watt last night. He was playing in a bar near where I live with the missing men. It was fucking great, the guy hung out with us all night and put up with me and my friends drunkenly rabbiting on about crap.
Super nice guy.

No offense to Brian, but you can't not go see Tera Melos and Boris.

Put a down payment on this today:

MIM Tele Deluxe.
Could've walked out of the pawnshop today with the Tele a new set of strings and a HSC (non original) for $300 + The Gov't but because we have a big check for rent and deposit floating out there plus our Cell Phone bill is on autopay and due to come out on the 16th not to mention my Car Insurance is also on autopay (I forget when they take it out) and I don't get paid till the 20th; buying the guitar outright would put us dangerously close to overdrawing.
That said this is one guitar I'm not wanting to slip away and if it means I have to pay a little more (Sticker Price $389 not including new strings) to get it,....I'm comfortable with that. It had hit the floor today and I don't think it would last very long,...and I'm not willing to chance it. These things are like $700 brand new without an HSC,....I feel it's justified. Would rather pay $3hunnie but.....

On my home from the Prawnshop someone passed me an a badass right hand drive Nissan R32 GTR

New sneakers! They are rather silly looking, and I love it.

New fancy ass bed arrived. Occasionally I take a peek at it and think about the impressive amp stacks I could've bought with the money instead, but this thing is fucking comfortable. It makes me want to lay in bed and watch TV all day.
