The speed really does hamper things.
Personally I find all my gear issues now are just really boring and practical so I don't find myself drawn to ask here

Tell me more, this is the greatest evolution in gear since Josh Scott invented the fuzz pedal.

For someone who doesn't post a lot (I just don't see how you guys do those amounts) but has been around for a few years, is there a plan B once/if ILF gets too slow or dies?

Other than the metaverse… seems like the only functioning forums these days are built on the format talkbass, the gear page and musical instrument forum use… I don’t know what that would entail or if the cost would be worth it to Tom

In the act of f getting my board gig worthy and then gigging with it I ended ripping the thing apart and replacing a lot of shit.. like the voodoo labs pp2s for a true tone, also I just had to come to terms with that for what I am trying to do my Mesa vtwin gets me where I need for most dirt stuff.. but it’s big and clunky so I put it out of the way and got remote channel switch pedals to change settings

I’m also back to using my Henrietta engineering octoplus for fuzz, I just keep coming back to that one.

Is it the type of forum that makes it functioning, or is it more because most of the users on TalkBass and Gear Page are Oldsters who couldn't make the transition to TikTok (or wherever the Youngs are going now)?
BTW, I was having problems posting here because I would get logged out when I would hit the "submit" button. But when I log in here using the way that gives me the option "Log me on automatically each visit", I don't get kicked off and my posts go through. Home Run!

I haven’t posted on other forums in years… I don’t like those people… they all just ramble without giving you information.. I just know those places are still active.. not sure about the youngsters.. still waiting for them to get mad and do non-boring stuff

Still makes me glad to see ILF around even if the glory years are done. BST is smaller now, site is slow, but you're all still here.
This site is really the last place I have left from my teen years thats pretty much the same. God damn, if it wasn't for you all I would have grown up to be an extremely boring guitarist.
I know one day the site will probably shit the bed and this will all go away. But the impact y'all have made on me is eternal. I'll carry my time on this site with me forever.
Till then,
ya boi abides.
