i had the sr-16, and it was definitely a decent machine. the sounds are't exactly... versatile. i kind of found them to be geared towards late 80s-early 90s pop rock. many of the snares were sampled with big reverbs, great for power ballads if that's your bag.

after a few years i bought a roland r5. much older, less sounds, but much bigger sounding as well. this was my main machine until i updated to the R8 rackmount, and from there i went to software. still have that R8 rack floating around the house somewhere...

I like how all the pedals after the Blender go from small to large. :bob:

Thanks for all your drum machine advice (a few posts up). I'm also tempted to use this http://www.nanoloop.de/ to turn my gameboy into a retro rhythm section!

it's cool - very choppy and synthy. Little bit of a volume boost though. I think he has a revised one in the works.

I had a trem lune on there that I like better but it's been acting up lately and I haven't figured out why.

Finally got around to building a decent board. Came out pretty good.
The fab delay and DS-1 still need to be modified to no end...

Oh, that's a Weird Sound Generator from MFOS. I customized it to act as a modulation device as well as a noisy synth.
Works wonders.

Like the new knobs on the Shaky Jimi.

Actually that's not a bad Univibe clone.
