I played with a PS-5 this weekend and I definitely thought the speed controllable pitch shifting was the only cool part of the pedal

well at least to me. Because the digitech whammy can do most of the stuff on there except that and intelligent harmonies (which I don't think sound great on it)

Feel this belongs here. And got me thinking.
Looks like an invitation to fun, but this would not work well with my gear.
There's just too much signal buffering.
With Boss pedals, I've found their bum rap is from too much....er, too many of a good thing.
All those buffers...
At least in my rig; mostly use vintage single coils and a bright Selmer head. YMMV.
In general if I have more than 1 strategically placed buffer every 3-5 TB pedals then everything gets overly bright and ear fatiguing.
Less is more?
But if nothing else, the Boss footswitch *click* has the smoothest action when compared with the ubiquitous 2 and 3PDT and other proprietary designs seen on Russian Muffs and Ibanez/Maxon in particular...although the tone-lok series comes closest (it still pales in comparison).
If I had 10 Boss pedals on a board, I wouldn't even need to play through them.
You might catch me rhythmically clicking their footswitches, with a glazed-over gaze.

Great pedal by the way Phanta, if you don't love it I'll buy it off you (can never have too many BF-2s).

If I could choose 10 from your Boss stash my chain would go
SG-1 > VB-2 > FZ-2 > OD-1 > PS-3 > DF-2 > RV-3 > DM-2 > DSD-2 > PN-2

nice collection dude! is there any particular reason you have the dm-2 over the dm-3? Like what are the differences? I've always wanted to try a dm-2 as the dm-3 is my favorite analog delay.

Thanks everyone!
To Helter: I've tried the mn3005 and mn3205 DM-2s and have found I prefer the mn3005 version. Since all DM-3s have the mn3205, I've never even given one a chance! Honestly, I'd like to get one at some point, just too be able to compare. I've just been so happy with my DM-2s that I've never seen a need to get any other analog delays. One of these days I'll splurge and pick up a DM-3...

Oh cool, thanks for the info, I'll make sure to make sure its mn3005 if I ever decide to try a dm-2. I honestly thought you had a dm-3 because I couldn't really tell in the picture

All good man! If you ever pick up a DM-2, let me know what you think. I'll shoot you a message if/when I pick up a DM-3. Cheers!
