It's obvious it's a self-given name because he's delusional as fuck. I've seen enough of his vids when checking amp tests.

Time for "someone" to design a flat pack, IKEA style, 6x12 cab that can be easily assembled by the home guitarist. I can lay down some wood glue and put in a bunch of wood screws if everything is pre-cut and drilled.

I finally got to listen to that Randall demo vid. I don't think either of those guys have even know what doom is. I think most people equate metal with thrashy riffs and that's it. A lot of the stuff on youtube gives me that impression. It's hard to find doomy demo vids of a lot of things unless it's a very doom specific brand like Orange, Dunwich, Sunn, Black Arts, etc. Do a search for a popular brand overdrive or distortion and "metal" and it's always thrashy riffs. Very rarely doom unless like I said it's a brand that is generally associated with doom in the first place.

That being said, I bet that Randall can sound good in the right hands. Give any of us five minutes with the thing and we'll make it sound half decent. Best amp ever? I don't know, but I bet it has more potential than what those 2 guys showed us.

Or I could be completely wrong too :cool:

or mids + bass + volume dimed add treble to taste :lol;

just ask dr poop

or i move the knobs on the shaft (twss) to make my settings 666 :lol: but if (when) they get bumped i know right where they need to be.

I tried mids+bass+vol dimed tonight on my ampeg gvt15h. It sounded like it was blowing up when I turned on the cthulhu fuzz. I creamed my jeans. :!!!:

See Ampeg V2/V4/V4b (yes, there's a reverb knob, but I can let that slide)

Also, no fun toys with the tax return this year. Looks like I gotta get a new car :(

Looking at a couple of Dodge magnums. Nice V6 + room for gear + I can sleep in it (been years since I faced eviction, but ya never know). Unfortunately those things hold their resale value, and for the 7-8k I can afford to finance, I can't really get one with less than 90-100k miles on it. Boo.

Sucks man, I know the feeling. Our central heat / air unit has been on the fucked since the 1st. We gotta get a whole new one so my tax return that was going to be put towards a vinyl pressing is now going to that and then some. Fucking sucks because I've been wanting to put this vinyl out for a long time. I really didn't wanna sell my last Emperor cab but it looks like I may have to. On the bright side though, at least you'll have a spiffy ass new ride.

EDIT:

Today I am recording vocals and I still can't open my mouth all the way from having this molar pulled a few days ago. This is gonna be lots of fun.

Those Magnums are good cars, once Mercedes bought Jeep / Chrysler / Dodge the quality actually improved, but so did their resale value. They get good gas mileage and so far seem rather reliable. You could also look for a Chrysler 300c Wagon as they are identical in every way except badges and maybe interior trim, but they go for less because the Chrysler name isn't as in demand as Dodge.
