I needed that, thank you!

is it weird that part of why i didna bond with Maths was because EVERYone has a Maths?
i mean, probably will grab one again eventually. but. still.
UBIQUITOUS.

Maths is hard to beat for what it does! I tried to not buy Maths, now I mostly try not to buy a second Maths. But yeah Rampage is a nice layout, 2 hp smaller, just doesn't do the external source attenuverting/mixing that Maths does.

yeah. i dug it when i had it. i've been using the Galien (sp?) Moons for what i was using Maths for. probably grab again at some point.
Moons + Jupiter Storm is INTERESTING. so many noisy outs.

I never got Maths because I had alternate means to do everything right from the start (Roland). Well, everything except slew. Slew is something I still haven't found a lot of need for, but I'm sure once I start using it I'll find all kinds of applications. A Doepfer or a mini slew seems like the best choice for my system at this point.

Been having maths since day one. I just don't believe in math.

I like using slew after cv sequencers (or stepped random) frequently. No experience with other slews, but Maths works really well for this, with rise and fall at minimum you don't even know it's there.

So i tested the voltage output from the cv out on the French Connection. They said it was calibrated to 1 volt per octave so that means C1 should be 0 volts, C2 should be 1 volt, etc.... right?
Here's what i'm getting:

I really like Maths, mostly because of the way it incorperates all of it's functions really intuitively (which in general seems to be Make Noises strong suit, in my opinion). I do often find myself using it as just a mixer and envelope generator though. I have used it for other stuff generally but it makes me wonder if I'm using it to it's fullest.

Any thoughts on Blue Lantern's Asteroid Mini? I've been taking my time trying to piece together a small modular rig, but looking to start piecing it together this winter.
Right now I'm sort of thinking:
Pamela's New Workout
Asteroid Mini
2hp Filt
Maths
RF Nomad
I'm sort of lost on power/cases. I'd like something pretty portable. All the above put me at 58hp. I'm thinking something 84hp or under is what I'm after. I want a little room to grow
This would all be getting used with a combination of OP-1, TR-09, Sh-09, and RE-150

Nothing to contribute on a technical level. I listen to a lot of modular synth based music though. Really digging this dudes work lately.

It's certainly a contender, but couldn't I also sequence it with my iconnectmidi4+ into the PNW with the midi expander? Same cost and it can save sequence settings unlike the OP-1

No. But you can probably sync their clocks this way. Pam's isn't a Midi to CV converter even if you have the expander.

Clock sync would be more of what I'm after with the OP-1. Midi to CV conversion can haopen with my sq-1 I believe (Although it's pretty much stuck in C.) I really don't think I'd want the OP-1 to be my main clock, but rather the live/performance element on top saved sequences. I could forgo PNW and just trigger with the TR-09 and SQ-1, but I'd like the little box to also be self contained.
Oh well, I've got a long while to sort it out.
