Congrats on the new amp! Sucks its gotta go back but....

At some point your going to have to realize that every amp you touch has issues. I don't think its always the amp, you might be one of those rare people with a weird magnetic field that disrupts electronics. No joke its a thing, my mom suffers from it, an i've seen touch screen appliances do absolutely weird shit when she touches it but when i use it it has no issues what so ever. Remember the orange where it would do weird shit for you but when getting fixed nobody could duplicate the issue? I dunno man just something to think about.

Sucks about the Matamp Boxman. Hope you get it sorted out and end up with the best tone ever since you've had all these troubles.

Can anyone tell me which positions the diodes on the Badascan are? I can't remember. I was using the switch all the way down on the recording and at practice, but I started fucking around with it yesterday morning on the other two settings and was getting some pretty insane tone from it. I need to do a side by side comparison with my Pharaoh soon. I can't remember which diodes are which on that one either. I got an early one when he was just starting that has no writing on it and a 2 way switch.

rub your feet on the carpet really fast then touch a doorknob during a lightning storm then try the amp

im not 100% on this
but what i remember is

GE
LED
out

i was always diodes out too
was definately fuller and louder
ive switched recently too
could it have anything to do with the new 612s
we both got'em and both switched
im pretty sure all the way up is germanium
or silicon?
whatever thats the one sounds good to me now

I thought LED was on the bottom because that setting was a little bit tighter and had lower output than the other two?

EDIT:

like from top to bottom:

GE
diodes out
LED

:idk:

Talking about the Badascan , BTW. I think Pharaoh settings are:

Ge
Si

I think the middle setting on both Badascan and Pharaoh are Diodes out and up on both is GE, pretty sure you're right -- down is LED

Went and test drove a few vans a few days ago. Ended up settling on one that hopefully (fingers crossed) I'll be picking up tomorrow. Part of the deal was getting better tires on it, but it will definitely need a tune up, oil change and an alignment. Fucking excited. Can't decide on if I wanna put a church logo on the side so nobody will fuck with it, or spray paint "Free candy" on it to fuck with the neighborhood.

My v1 Pharoh was Si/no diodes. I thought the Badascan was Si instead of Ge, but I'm not really sure about that.

And you should definitely do a church logo for the van....and we should help you decide what it says.

They will still fuck with it with a church sign on there. Seen it happen.

Your best bet is to use a sign like Port-a-John Cleaners, or Deep Down n Dirty Sewage Line Cleaners. Something thats gonna make any wanna be thief double think whats actually in there and if they even wanna touch it.

make it a dirty diapers pick up service for those who use cloth diapers. I know there are such things. cause even with the above por a john and sewage line cleaners... there will still be an assumption there are tools/equipment to be stolen even covered in shit it's worth breaking in to.

making it dirty diapers pick up... only give the impression it'll be filled with shit covered diapers and nothing else.
