I got my PC copy on day 1...what kinda pisses me off is that if I want a copy for my MacBook, I'll have to buy a second one. I'd hoped that they'd do what Steam does with their 'buy it and play it on either OS' thing.

I don't really see the point of the enhanced edition? Get all the old ones, some bugfixes, tutu/BGT and you're laughing. I'd be more into the idea if they'd fixed lots of bugs, but from what I hear it's still pretty buggy so why bother?

I, too, can get on board with this.

Just bought Psychonauts again. I have now owned this game on three different platforms.

Part of it was/is to get the game to run on modern screen rez's and not have a teensy little window on your large-screen monitor. Bug fixes...yeah; the release was delayed at least once to chase bugs, and the team has said that they expected to release patches after the game dropped. Beta testing only goes so far in finding every last weirdo issue.

I suppose I can see it if you really can't be bothered with installing mods, but I just haven't seen anything about it that can't be done with mods yet. The original games look ok-ish in original resolution and there are mods to increase it, plus loads of bugfixes and extra content. Not that I'm hating, they seem to be releasing updates reasonably often, I definitely see the point of having it for a tablet, because that could be fun and clearly the original won't do that.

I dunno, I guess it's just not meant for people who've have the original and doesn't mind how ancient it is, or modding the game themselves to get rid of the worst parts. :idk: Shouldn't rag on something that isn't aimed at me.

I still have my original discs, but could not get any of the resolution mods to work all that well. For me, it was worth the $20 to get it to play nice with my current rig...I'll be getting their release of BG2 as well.

Fair enough, I've never had any problems with compatibility, but if I did I would totally buy the enhanced edition so I see where you're coming from there. Whether or not old games work ok on modern pcs really does seem to be 100% luck from system to system.

So, how is Far Cry 3? I've been hearing about how good it is.

I've ordered a copy that came with some extra bonus junk, haven't got it yet though...
