When I write lyrics/music, I'm:
a)not satisfied with them
b)confident that if I were to sing them to someone (even with the music), they would never be comfortable near me again
c)sure someone is going to be like, "you stole that music/vocal melody/drum machine loop/3 note phrase in the bridge from song (insert song here)"
d)all or some combination of the answers above
(hint: there are no wrong answers)

So I have been really sick lately - and still am - and I took off work yesterday and the day before. My boss has this thing where he expects us to never take off more than one day at a time when we're sick... He sent me a txt message yesterday all annoyed about how he "counts on us being there" and stuff like that. I haven't even taken any of my vacation days in the past two years so it is not as though I'm the type of employee that's always taking off.
So I come to work today even though I'm nowhere near better and the first thing he says to me is:
"So there is a little bit to do for one project, but aside from that I don't have much for you to work on."
...
Then like 15 minutes later after listening to me coughing for a while he's like:
"You know, if you really weren't feeling well you should have stayed home."
... I'm sorry I thought it was like a big fucking deal.
So I come to work today even though I'm nowhere near better and the first thing he says to me is:

Fuck that guy. My boss is all, "I'VE NEVER MISSED A DAY OF WORK IN MY LIFE, EVEN WHEN I HAD THE FLU" so he gives you plenty of grief if you call out for any reason.

So yesterday my wife went to see her aunt & uncle, cause she wants to learn accordeon now and they had an old one from her grandfather. Girl comes back with a huge fucking trunk, looks like a slanted cabinet (albeit a little smaller, imagine a slanted 4x10 maybe) and takes out this gigantic freaking magnificent instrument. All shiny and black with chrome all over the place and fucktons of registers and all kinds of fancy extras. Thing lookl like a Bilt Revelator gone accordeon. I would love to tear it from her, sell it for the 2.000+ damn Euros it's worth and just get an equally magnificent guitar. I swear that tears of rage came to my eyes. The fact that we're seperating doesn't help either. I think I will have to resort to the icepick solution and goddamn sell that thing on the bay. It sounds stunning too btw.
