My big gaming rig (which is also my beta-testing rig) is usually in a semi-annual state of upgrade, but I really don't mind it too much...I've built hot-rod gaming systems for side money before, so it's not as if I don't know what to expect. And I don't have to have the absolute latest/greatest/1337 hardware...I'll buy the previous gen's #2 GPU, for example, picking it up for maybe 2/3 the price of when it was brand new; New Egg's sale prices are worth waiting for usually as well. Although sometime this year I want to do the major guts swap that Achtane mentioned...new CPU, 'board, and RAM. THAT'S gonna need to be purchased in steps over a few months. What's killing me right now is that I have the coins to get the CPU (i5 3570k) and RAM right this instant, but they're set aside for a cab purchase. Naturally, New Egg put the CPU on sale this past weekend. Painful to resist, but I was strong...or something.

Tried Little Big Planet for the Vita. Biggest "what the fuck is everybody raving about?!?!" moment of my gaming lifetime. Nothing in that 30 minutes of gameplay made me want to play it any more. On the other hand, Persona 4 Golden is fucking incredible. Maybe that's why it has a 94 rating on metacritic. Also, PHANTASY STAR ONLINE 2 NEXT MONTH

was organizing all my video games console loots and was feeling mad nostalgic for Ratchet and Clank. stopped to pick up a used copy of Darksiders 2 ('m only like an hour into it, but it's funnnnn so far) and they have a HD Redux version with the first 3 games like they did for Ico/Shadow Of The Colossus! YAY!!

..... i'm bored of fighting games. haven't really dug them for years. i think as soon as i realized i was never going to stand side by side with another human at an arcade whilst kicking each other's asses.... my love for fighters died.

I watched a Twitch.tv streamer play that game in japanese. He translated it as he played it; beautiful game and it was a lot of fun too watch.

also on the game front I upgraded my video card too a GTX 660 ti but I am still playing a lot of World of Warcraft, Guild Wars 2 and occasionally Heroes of Newerth, though I may just put the axe in that game since MOBA communities are the fucking worst. Its troll central.

I still have Dead Space 2, Darkstalkers 2, and Civilization 5 loaded on my computer that I have either not played or lost complete interest in. I am still struggling to play music with out being distracted by any game mentioned and or Twitch.tv.

After my best friend told me about it I have been a pure addict for the last 3 years and it is now the main media that I watch.

Favorite streamers are Man vs Game, Team Spooky (which does east coast street fighter), Reckful (wow arena player, very pouplar), Towlliee ( another wow streamer)

I also have to mention probably my favorite person to watch play and that is Cosmowright (or Cosmo for short). Watching him play games at the level he does is simply just mind boggling. He is the co-founder of speedrunslive and just recently I watched him beat The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker in 4 hours 30 minuets roughly....... The level of play is just staggeringly amazing.

isn't team spooky also west coast? I'm pretty sure wednesday night fights is streamed from that big arcade in san fran, isn't it? might be thursdays thing (throwdown thrusdays? dont remember)

I watch anywhere from a few hours a day to all day, mostly sc2 tourneys, lol tourneys, tsmtheoddone (lol jungler), and any of the charity ones. Like right now till saturday there's a speed run marathon to raise funds for cancer prevention and awareness. pretty cool

So I'm pretty deep into GTA: San Andreas right meow. I'd never played any GTA games before this, and I see why everyone likes this so much.
I realize I'm about 10 years behind btw. Don't ask.

San andreas is SO GOOD. It's the huge amount of space outside the cities that really makes it for me, I just love driving arouns the countryside and jumping off mountains and stuff. Most things about that game except the graphics are good really

SA is the best one. I miss the camera of GTA3 and the helicopters of Vice City but everything else is the shit. It's hilarious to hook a bunch of tractors together and swing 'em around the highway, or get a semi and hook it up to a fuel canister, do a sudden u-turn at high speed and fly away...I might have to get the PC version now.
Oh man, FUCK that one RC plane mission. That was SA, right? Where you have to kill the guys on motorcycles while flying a shitty plane in third person in juuuust the right order at juuuust the right time, or you run out of fuel...FUUUUUUUUCKKK

GTA3 is my favorite though, it totally blew me away. Nothing like the pedestrian riot/peds have weapons codes in conjunction, or how people happily dive under your car instead of diving to safety, or finding a big group of people and using that exploit that lets you fire the shotgun as fast as you can switch targets. Good times. I even liked just driving around the city in the rain.
