At least the hypersleep will be more reasonably priced. Which is weird to say since it's still near the $300 price range. Granted the Hypersleep sounds amazing

$365?
But probably close to that, right? I mean...

:surprise:

Looks like $400 usd on the Moog Audio website:

ugh.

Yeah, it’s a bit of a downer. I was looking forward to it. The other day when I checked moog audio it was $715 CAD ($545 USD), so maybe they’re testing the reaction with the prices? I have no idea how a retailer could get the price that wrong.

Well that means I am going to have to budget a little harder in order to get the Rooms. It’s not a huge deal for me, but I do think it can hurt a company’s sale if they out price themselves to where no one is going to buy it. Not saying that’s going to happen in this case, just people can only afford so much before they just say fuck it and get it on the used market X amount of time later.

Dunwich Amps has called it quits. A titan of our world. Going out for the best reasons though, good for him.

$525USD is in the neighborhood of $715CAD; I imagine EQD sent the MSRP ($525) in CAD and Moog assumed the number was in USD (ie, $715CAD), they did the conversion, posted it, and then corrected it.

MoogAudio is a great store - but some of their prices are incredibly inflated, even accounting for exchange rates, etc. The retail space is awesome, one of my favorite in North America, but I honestly wonder how they compete with other online retailers.

Apples to apples, none of their prices have ever seemed notably different from Electric Mojo who are the only other online spot in Canada carrying similar stuff (pedal-wise at least).

But I would say the customer experience is much better with Electric Mojo than it is with Moog. That’s subjective and personal of course, but has been my experience. Charles is a rad dude!

It does look and sound pretty awesome. I personally am waiting for the new pladask, Cooper fx and Fairfield offerings as my next potential purchases.

Not 100% sure. Cooper has teased a brief sound clip a couple months back, and a few shots of board and enclosure, and then yesterday a “long, dark hallway” pic on IG. Fairfield is less known, I just know they’re hoping to release something in the coming months.

so cooper sounds like a reverb

my bank account dreads the sound of a new Fairfield Circuitry arrival, whatever it may be....
