In seriousness, De-Loused In the Comatorium was a life-changing event for me. It opened up a bunch of new possibilities, and introduced me to Jon Theodore, who has had a massive impact on me (along with a few other drummers).

I came to appreciate literally their whole discography aside from Noctourniquet That has a couple good moments but is totally messed up and dumb otherwise

still, somehow, Amputechture is my favourite I sometimes really mis Theodore although in a way, Pridgen somehow really fits the middle era insanity of the band

I actually really liked Amputechture, too--their best after De-Loused, I thought. Frances the Mute seems to me to be a wankfest, and not much fun to listen to.

As for Pridgen: super talented, but a lot of what he does seems more like athleticism than drumming. Theodore had the whole package.

It's a great record, but I think Medulla is better still. So ambitious, and still super fun to listen to.

And Homogenic is tops.
