Demo A/Bing the Rong and the Rite?
My experience of clones has been the same but I've never encountered a satisfactory explanation to why that should be with simple silicon-based circuits. I'm a big fan of the FY2 and have tried to clone it on breadboard, switching caps, altering the bias, trying different transistors - it never quite captures the pure dirty magic of the original.

Yeah, was taking the scenic route.
I have no idea why either. I thought it might have to do with aging, but on those old records the vintage pedals can still nail those tones while clones are lacking something? I do like these clones regardless, but consider them approximations or pedals in their own right. close enough to use for gigs maybe, but not as substitutes for the sounds I want from the originals in the studio.

Well, well, well. Hi. Here we have for the first time ever, in this thread, side by side in a no holds barred, except chords, battle of the tonez between the Mosrite Fuzzrite and the D.A.M Fuzzrong. rite vs rong.
First video is a loop where disembodied hands make adjustments and switch between the pedals while pointing ominously.
Second video I'll do later and attempt to and play while hands make adjustments and switch between the pedals.
We're going to settle once and for all which pedal sounds more like an original vintage Fuzzrite.

Finally got my replacement MASF Possessed yesterday, and oh boy its pretty wow. I'm still not sure what it does or why its going to do so, but i'm starting to catch on and made a video anyways. The good Dr. S Cosmichorus is in front. I do believe its going to show its true colors with some dirt in front of it. Here you are good people of ILF.

Was going to return that phone call, but fuzz was calling my name and they probably wanted something. I put the creepy fingers os mutantes into the masf possessed.

Sometimes you just gotta love a pedal.

How do you make one of your favorite fuzz pedals sound better? Stack it with another favorite fuzz with a different presentation! So here is my ramshead big muff pi, with my foxx tone machine running into it. Ramshead set up for overall awesomeness while the tone machine is full on octave mode set to melt nazi Ark thieves.
Hope you enjoy

Just going to leave this here

I dig how this thread has developed.
Since (it seems) you never throw anything away, someday you should do a group shot organized in autobiographical order...or as close to it as you can remember.
That would rule.

I'm just wondering, from 6.28 in that vid with the Os Mutantes and the Possessed, is it only the Possessed doing that sound / arpeggiation?
That sounds wicked!
From listening to different video's I think I like the Possessed much more than the Particle, they're quite different are they or do you think there's a serious overlap between them?
