Re: Doom Room 1 knob Muff Group DIY
Okay a few pieces of information. You will not be able to buy all the parts from 1 supplier.
The internal small trimmer is mouser part number: 72-T70YE-100K. No other choices besides that one will work.
Diodes are 1n914. Those are all that will fit if you wanna do a flat mount to the board. Vertical mount you could try others.
If you wanna mount the board on the pot you need a pcb solder style pot so the board will be attached to that. Make sure when you soldering it on, you put a small piece of cardboard between the pot and the board so that you have proper space. Remove after you solder the pot to the board.
Dont forget a LED and LED bezel.
The 1uF cap that is connected to the Volume pot is a WIMA MKP2 cap, AFAIK no other 1uF cap will fit that slot.
2n5088 is the Q I picked for this circuit but anything with a similar pinout will work (npn only)
I have a drill out for the enclosure we used but other enclosures could be used so long as they are larger.

Awesome Nick! Is the drill out the same as the image posted on the first page? And are there any supppliers you would add or recommend over what I put up earlier?

Basically yes but I have a pdf version for 1:1 scale printing.
I would use Mouser if you going to order in large bulk say 50-200 for a single part. You will have to use them either way to get 2 of the parts on the list (internal trimmer and the 1uF output cap). Else you can snag some things from Mammoth Electronics or Pedal Parts Plus

You rule man. I am still willing to bulk buy if it will save us all some pennies, but I doubt we'll have quite that many being made.
Senor Pinnacle, let me know if I'm wrong about that.

Anyone who wants to experiment with their own mods, this is the place to read about the circuit and what components do what. It's a really nice easy to follow explanation.

Ryan, are you building them or just sharing parts from bulk?

He's ordering the PCB's. Enclosures and parts will be on the individual.

Ah I get it. A lot of this stuff confuses me.

Re: Doom Room 1 knob Muff Group DIY
I can build full pedals for Euro folks and maybe populate boards/full pedals for US folks if no one over that side wants to take it on.
I'd already have a stock of most if not all components needed so not too into a group buy on parts myself but I would add bitcheslovemyswitches.com to the supplier list for jacks/switches/cases/knobs.

If you do end up doing US how much would it cost?

Since I etched the originals, I can etch these guys for people that want things etched. It may be a lot of shipping back and forth for folks that want it, but i can try to minimize what i charge to basically cost for this project.
Full disclaimer though: I have a bum knee that I just had surgery on a week ago and the wife just was in a car accident and broke her leg. I will be a little slow to get them done, but would be more than happy to help the doom brotherhood.
