The new Dark Souls 2 footage looks really fantastic, in my opinion! Can't flippin wait to crawl those dungeons, frig I love Dark Souls. It's just perfect for me.

There was a really cool 12 minute video of new gameplay and discussion with the director but I can't find it on YouTube now...

Spaceman, I'm surprised you hated the end of Infinite so much! I thought it was really interesting and cool but I love that kind of stuff in my normal life anyway.

Not much for new games this week hey... I've been watching this gaming news channel called Force, somebody here recommend it recently I think... good tip, he talks about all the new games every week and does first-40 minute previews which is cool.

Max, you've got great taste in games.. Maniac Mansions are so cool too! Those were made by the original Sierra team husband and wife team right?

i mean it was kind of cool, the game had just become way too repetitious for me and i just thought the conclusion was lame. it WAS cool that they ripped down to rapture as jumping from one place to another...

That's my complaint about all FPS games, as a viewer especially, they're all just constant machine gun shooting at people. Crazy repetitious... the ending of Infinite was a terrible example of that kind of boring machine gun repetition... but after that I found it quite cool.

hitman & fallout aren't exactly FPS but they're exceptions to that for me, for sure. i was addicted to call of duty: black ops for a spell too (just the multiplayer) but that's another that turned into just too much of the same thing.

i haven't played it yet but i think gun might be an exception too...

COD has lost whatever it had. It's a brainless bullet festival. I used to love the COD games, way back when they were set in WWII. And then the first Modern Warfare, it was so fresh and exciting. But instead of trying to revitalize themselves again, they just settled into a cash-cow and sold endless iterations, with more explosions and the same uninspired stories. I actually physically don't enjoy playing them any more. It's just mindless violence.

Still need to start Dishonored. Been playing and really enjoying Bioshock Infinite so far.

Anybody play The Witcher 2? I was reminded of that game the other day and was curious if it was worth checking it out.

The Witcher 2 is fantastic. It's like the darker more evil twin of Skyrim. If you liked Skyrim but hated the bugs, cheesy characters, and nonsense, check out The Witcher 2. It's best to do it on the PC though, which is partly why it never became a huge hit like Skyrim.

I got bored to shit playing it. Actually gave up. I think that's the only time I've not played through a game. Like it has the potential to be decent, but you really have to go out of your way for it. If you don't it's a hack n' slash with titties.

Yeah, it's a pretty deep and layered game, so some people find it too intrusive and demanding, and thus boring.

If I was to guess I would say yes, Lucas Arts and Sierra were almost making the same format of games - Day of the Tentacle which happens to be my #1 game off all time was a continuation of the maniac mansion series. A lot of those games Dig, Indiana Jones, Monkey Island,...ect were essentially the same engine.

I loved Dragons Lair simply because of the magical touch that Don Bluth has.

And yes DS2 will take a solid month of my life away when it drops.

Right, I love those old Lucas Arts games like Dig and Indiana Jones, those rule! I'm gonna watch a walkthrough of Day of the Tentacle tonight, I love how guys are still playing and showing off these awesome games.

I think the Witcher series is pretty cool.. definitely gonna check out Witcher 3...

Looking forward to watching some Dead Island Riptide, I liked that game.

Did anyone get into Stunts? I really liked a lot of old Brøderbund stuff, in addition to everything Sierra ever released.
