I still watch one almost every sat morning before my wife gets up...have Ip Man 2 at home now.

Iron Monkey's a good one.

People've been uploading full length Kung Fu films on YouTube.

If only because this track contains a sample:

Iron Monkey is a good one. I like everything from the traditional b&w samurai flicks...you know, tons of slow espionage buildup before the one fight scene at the end...to the cheesy ridiculously-dubbed low budget fight-with-cardboard-props-every-30-seconds oldies...to the newer digital effect cross-breeds.
My first rec would be the remake of 13 Assassins, mostly because I just watched it recently-for the 2nd time. Not a ton of Kung fu but lots of fight scenes and swordplay.
No exercise since Sunday, I just quit the job I started two weeks ago, but I don't start work again til Friday, so I'll get a good workout in tomorrow...along with Ip Man 2 hopefully!

I went on an 8 mile bike ride ride (round trip) to get some guitar strings this morning but the store was closed.

I got a DUI so I can't drive for a year, but I figure getting around on a bike will be a good way to get back in shape. I used to ride a bike or walk to get everywhere and driving made me super lazy.

Man, good luck on the 5k!

Just went on a 13-mile bike ride with my friend, but 2 miles out from the truck his pedal...hub thing self-destructed and with no tools on us it wasn't repairable. So he stood on his crappy crooked pedals, chain dragging behind while I rode alongside and pushed his back, both of us cackling like idiots. It was an adventure.
I kinda want to fix up my old mountain bike or something; right now I'm on a 50-pound industrial bike and he's on a BMX one
It'd just be a little easier for long rides. I can pedal my ass off all day but the bike's only gonna go so fast, although I do really love riding it.

I forget if I posted in this a while back or not.

It is nice to see that so many people here are just as motivated towards exercise as they are towards music and such! I tend to be obsessive over every little thing I do (all or nothing!) but maybe I can share some info with you doods.

I run 5-6 miles three times a week, and have started incorporating body weight resistance training into the other days. Getting one of those multi-use pullup bars that have like eight grips or whatever on them is a great idea. The kind that doesn't need to be screwed into your door frame. I think the term is "cantilever." Anyways. I thought that using it to do pushups was kind of stupid and/or redundant, but if you put your feet up on a chair and use it, you can get a really deep range of motion that can really kick your ass.

I used to think that there would be no way in hell I could ever run more than maybe three miles, but if you just do it (run farther than last time) and bear with it for a few weeks, you'd be surprised how easily you can go from three to four miles, to five, and to six or seven! As for shoes, if you don't have a specialty store that can monitor your feet while you run, then you can always try out stability, or motion-control type running shoes. Stability offers more support and "alignment" and motion-control offers the most. I used to have problems with my ankles and knees after running, but once I got some stability shoes, things are much better!

Gunslinger's right--I was shocked how quickly I was up to 3 miles, after not having done anything for months.

I started riding my bike to the train station to go to work. It makes me feel really good for some reason.

Really hilly course but I ran 26 minutes. Which is about 4 minutes faster than I have run in years wicked stoked to get out and run again!
