Love it for these sounds :) It's hard to compare it to something, but it reminds me a lot of The Dillinger Escape Plan - very twangy and edgy, the way I like it :)

Hey hey hey hey.. play Jazzmasters every day. They rule! I want one without the extra switching options, I never use that stuff, rather it be filled in and solid there..

Can you take a straight on photo of these settings? I want to steal them.

Hmm, it's just a Squier VM  upgraded saddles (Grapthech) and rewound bridge pup (Antiquity II spec)

on paper, it doesn't sound like it will be this ballsy, but it's mainly in the playing i guess :)

Playing is always a big factor. I demo guitars on youtube and had quite a few different ones here. And I always sound like me, no matter how different the guitars are^^ But Squiers are badass, I played one of their teles and thought it was some kind of boutique/vintage thing until my friend told me the price... I thnik I really need a Jazzmaster. One day.

Anyone have an Elements setting that'll cop a decent HM-2 sound? I don't have a HM-2 right now and it'd be sweet if I could somewhat replicate that vibe. :idk:

The hm-2 has some really unique features that are going to be hard to cop. The clipping (asymmetric soft clipping into symmetric hard clipping) and the mids, which boosts mids and highs together, and boosts around 950 hz and around 1200 simultaneously. That said...

Low gain mode, max the gain. High gain mode is more saturated than the HM-2. If its not distorted enough (high output pickups will get you there, lower wont) boost the elements with a clean boost.

Clipping toggle down. Up is too modern. Distortion is pretty loose, so I'd only have a little bass cut (toggle up). Mids toggle is hard... Try switching it to 1200 hz. 800 sounds more marshally than the HM-2.
Crank the shit out of the mids, give it a bit of thump with the bass knob and add a bit of treble till it is on the borderline between bitey and annoying.

Will have to try this when I get home!!

Finally got round to updating my pedalboard
Not sure how easy it is to see the Elements setting, but this is really working for me.
Pretty touch sensitive, beautiful breakup and smooth feeling to the clipping
Tiny bit of clean blend which helps with all the time based effects I use
switch the gain toggle and its full on marshall

Cool board, Ian! I like that setting in high gain too, I dig that heavy bass cut sound.
