Is it a rule of tennis that you have to shriek as if an alien is bursting through your chest with every hit?

Not sure if this is the right thread for this..but sometimes when I'm at work doing a really solitary/boring task and my mind starts to wander..I get these weird temporal distortions. Almost as if the world has sped up or slowed down. On the one hand, I'm aware that nothing has changed, but on the other, everything "feels" all topsy-turvy

it's hard to explain...

Some jackoff judge slammed my band at the Battle of the Bands today. Apparently are instruments don't "come alive in our hands" enough, what does that even mean? Also, he said we weren't professional enough, dude, we are a quartet of teenagers in a rock band, how the heck can we be proffesional, again, what is that supposed to mean? All was bad enough, but then they complained the bass was "distorted and filled up too much space in the mix", come on man

I thought that was my job, to fill in the mix.

Apparently there was something wrong with my wife's money and thus we not only didn't rightfully get the 400€ I spent four months ago - NO! We also now have to pay 4000€ (that's four thousand, no mistake there) in taxes for 2009! AND that's not taking 2010 into the equation!
I a doomed! I am trying to hold it off, but there might be a huge b/s/t thread coming at you.

1. didn't come alive? were you not playing a john mayer strat and dumble (being a bass player doesn't excuse you from that)
2. moving is unprofessional, get some chairs
3. I don't know how you got that impression, basses are supposed to be inaudible and di'd

Well it was one by a girl in a little black dress......and all the judges were men..........and she was pretty............and every other band was composed primarily of stereotypical teenage rockers, most of whom were men.....

That really is the worst critique ever - something that unimaginative hacks who view themselves as "consummate professionals" like to say all the time. You could say the same thing about the vast majority of my favorite bands, and about any band that draws from punk and post-punk influences.
In short, eff that guy.
