Saw them on Saturday - prepare for a great set man, soak it in. Was amazing!Iommic Pope wrote:Currently having a Tooheys Old, waiting for sleep.
Probably one that doesn't exist because it isn't as practical/doesn't sound as good. Or maybe a handmade Epiphone Valve Jr or something like that. A 5 watt design with very little components, no relays, no fancy voltage, nothing hampering performance. Hiwatts are pretty indestructible.AxAxSxS wrote:sorry bro, you have the worst amp luck.![]()
What's THE SINGLE MOST RELIABLE AMP EVER? Cause that's what you should get next. Something bullet proof, and then dip it in kevlar and put it behind 6 inches of steel plate.
Seriously though that sucks.
This is one of the many reasons that Will is one of the most decent humans that I know. Thanks buddy.humancertainty wrote:The Chicago Whores show is on the day I work a double and probably cannot afford to take off.
Christian, I'll make sure to drop keys to my apartment off for you before work starts.
how cheap is cheap? im into this. . .conky wrote:Took the Ape Blaster to practice last night and tried it out a few different ways and I couldn't get it to work in my setup. The sound is massive and if I were playing stuff that had no cleans I would have this as my main tone. I tried it on bass before our bassist got there and it sounded like a Ritual on steroids. Crisp, tons of lows with a notched mids thing going on that just crunches. I imagine once grind bands catch wind of this thing it will become a contender for the HM2.
If any of you duders want to try it out, let me know and I'll hook you up on the cheaps.
Aw dang dude. I had such high hopes. I'm sorry it didn't work out! If you can't flip it in a satisfactory manner you can sure as hell return it.conky wrote:Took the Ape Blaster to practice last night and tried it out a few different ways and I couldn't get it to work in my setup. The sound is massive and if I were playing stuff that had no cleans I would have this as my main tone. If Whiskey doesn't take it I want it, that description sounds perfect.conky wrote:Took the Ape Blaster to practice last night and tried it out a few different ways and I couldn't get it to work in my setup. The sound is massive and if I were playing stuff that had no cleans I would have this as my main tone. I love it, but it just ain't in the cards right now. I'm sure a month from now I'll join a band that has a no cleans ever policy and be hitting you up for another Ape Blaster. I feel bad returning it to you because I feel like i'm not supporting a fantastic pedal and builder. I don't mind taking a hit on reselling it for less as long as you don't have a problem with it. I feel like the chance to play around with it is worth any money lost.D-Day wrote:Aw dang dude. I had such high hopes. I'm sorry it didn't work out!
