On top of having pretty serious anxiety towards school, I have really serious problems focusing in the classroom.
Don't get me wrong, I love learning, but I've got some issues getting stuff done.
I don't know why. It's pretty unexplainable and unacceptable.

Khan academy? (in terms of a solution, that is)

I love Khan Academy. Sometimes I play some lessons while I'm at work and just listen to them.

Confessions:
1) I don't like even numbers. They seem unbalanced to me - or something like that.
2) I can count on one hand the number of times I have felt anger in my entire life.
3) I have a 20 year long bet going. The bet is that I would remember the bet. It's been 10 years so far. Halfway to winning that $20.
4) I once lived across the street from a grocery store for 1 year. I didn't know it was there until the day I moved out. I had never had a reason to look in that direction before.
5) I have always felt that I was born into the wrong time. I'd be much more comfortable 500+ years ago.
6) When I was in Pre-K the teacher told me it was ok to color outside the lines. I told her that she obviously didn't know anything about coloring.
7) On my last birthday I didn't know how old I was. I couldn't remember if I was 24 or 25.

I forget how old I am all the time. Whenever someone asks me or I need to fill it in a form, I have to actually sit there and do the math from my birth year.

2) same here. Some death metal guy in a park kicked me in the face and I just laughed.

3) what if the person who's betting against you has forgotten?

4) took me a year to find out there was a gas station a block down that is open 24/7. I went downtown to get smokes after the other gas station closed at ten several times.

7) same here again. Of course my birthyear is 1990 so just the last two digits of what year it is +10. I start remembering it's a new year around June. Luckily my birthday is in June as well.

Ah, yes, 1511, the year when one man made a groundbreaking observation: "one black can do the work of four Indians."

General life expectancy was low, and you're probably going back and winding up a peon (simply a numbers game, I don't think you're a peon). Whoooo Feudalism and Serf-ery!

What an enlightened time to go back to. ;)

That kind of thing suits me. I feel best when it seems like the whole world is against me. Day to day things aren't like that, and it's difficult for me to care about things. The worse things are, the better I get. I hate comfort, and satisfaction. The idea of such things is disgusting to me.

One more confession:
On not just one occasion, but several, I have gone without sleep for 5 full days. It really wasn't that bad until the fifth day.

Also, one more while I'm at it. When I first heard about survivor, I thought that they just took a bunch of people, dropped them on an island, and that was it. If you "tapped" out or became unable to continue, you were out. I thought that was it. None of the stupid voting out nonsense or "challenges".

I hate what the show actually is. When my girlfriend watches it I put my headphones on.

having stumbed across her info on Google while trying to verify if the home business we'd shared showed up as a verifiable past employer when writing my resume, i just sent my ex-wife--who taught me how to do page layout back in the early 1990s on a fishtank Macintosh with a full-page monitor back before we parted bitterly in 1995--an e-mail asking for networking help to find work. she's done a lot of high-level business stuff in the Bay Area and is active in professional groups, so if she has any quality of mercy fifteen years later maybe she'll help. and since by her half-constructed website she never found anyone to replace me and is now onto the polyamory thing, maybe i'll get lucky, too. if she doesn't just delete the message, or lure me to a deserted spot and murder me.

I often listen to my own music (especially guitar playing) and think it's amazing. Then I feel like an asshole, then I think that surely that's what I should be aiming for? Then I have no idea what to think but I still feel guilty about it.

Needed a new vacuum. Used a Dyson at work. Became excited for an appliance for the first time since I got my own waffle iron many years ago. Did some math...

Dyson ball thingy = $343
Hoover + 4ms Phaseur Fleur = $339

I went with Option B. Now the wife is vacuuming and I have a new phaser coming. :joy:

I love opening the same video in multiple tabs to see how close I can get them to synch and/or to enjoy the weird delay effect.
