yes, but i only have the acoustic and semi-acoustic guitar here, so, being in a two-rooms apartment, i can't play those without waking up everyone
same small apartment thing is valid for my kalimba too :(

To break away from the normal disease of the times here is a rank that has been building up in me for some time.

Custom parts. I foolishly thought that now in the time of the internet and with all these "builders" of things that you could easily find someone that was willing to make a REAL custom neck and hardware.. but what I am finding more than ever is if it isn't for a fender or a gibson style instrument you are almost our of luck. Aluminum neck? gotta be for a fender, no basses with more than 4 strings.. Wood necks, warmth is discontinuing their 8string necks that they reused to make with a paddle head so you could drill your own holes.. the smaller guys... to busy to make things that are not for fenders.. hardware? is it for a tele or a tele? fuck. With moses gone not only is that it for graphite necks but also getting something for any thing you want... the last time I talked with them before they stopped production they said send us your old neck and we'll copy it... If anyone knows someone WILLING to make a 12 string bass bridge [3 course type, and not a schaller 8 string bridge] please let me know... :grumpy:

Got word last night that my cousin's wife had taken their kids and gone to stay at her parents house... Apparently he hasn't been taking his meds and he's been drinking (I'm assuming this complaint is from his wife; they both party hard so I'm not really sure of this bit). He has Crohn's that has put him in the hospital before. Two daughters (4 and under I believe). Journalism major that has never been able to really start a career (he's done a lot of freelance stuff, tried being a copywriter/marketing stuff before but the high stress environment just isn't for him). I guess his wife is hoping that by taking the kids and leaving, it'll jolt him into getting help (whether this is about his mental health or the drinking, I'm not sure)...

What's tripping me out about the whole thing is he called me about two months ago after a situation between my parents and I... We had a long talk about the shit our family does and at one point he expressed his opinion that most of the family is mentally imbalanced/unstable in some way and that either of us not turning into them was a small miracle. I can't tell if that was a weird moment of foreshadowing or if the stress imposed by our family (and his wife and kids) has finally driven him past the breaking point. Seeing how this plays out is going to be rough. I hope it's something minor as just being consistent with his meds, but if the outside influence is part of it... I don't really know what will end up happening. Or if there's anything I can do to help.
I, myself, am a shit post

My parked car got hit today for the fourth time. Four times in the past three years since moving to Colorado. In the grand scheme of things I could be having way worse things happen to me right now, but like

No, it's endemic to management. The thing I'm not sure of, though, is whether a person is recruited for management because they're a douche or if a person becomes transformed after entering the inner circle.

I'd say both. Except my old boss, Chris. That dude was a wimpy puppet for the higher bosses when they left in the evening

my cat died. well, she had to be put down due to an inoperable cancer. needless to say, i'm heartbroken. she was a very sweet girl, and my only friend during the worst years of depression i've ever had. i miss her terribly.

Sorry to hear about the pussy cat.

Nowhere near as sad, today I bought a book of tricks and tips for my Volca Modular, spent 30 mins trying things out (which was lots of fun) until the SD card in my recorder ran out of room.

I plugged it into my PC, opened the folder and without copying it, took the SD card out again, put it back in the recorder and deleted all the files, including what I recorded today.

*sigh*

Not the end of the world, but definitely mildly irritating.

Rage/apathy: now entering 4th month of being separated from my partner due to COVID-related border closures

Mild irritation: went to pre-order a Squier Super Sonic, and in the time the store took to reply to my email they'd raised the price on it by $120 :idk:
