I have been drinking a lot less, but my friend I don't see often was running karaoke last night at the bar and I felt like playing pool. I unfortunately did not realize I was at the age where people I have babysit in the past can now drink. That threw me through a loop when one of em came up to talk to me (and also accidentally knocked my glass off the bar ending up with me having to pay for another beer after she broke it. And then an uber cause she was way too drunk)

I bought a 6 pack, and so far they've all been flat. I mean, I'm still gonna drink em, but it's been gross so far.

Been drinking some Austin Bros and Black Rocks beer with my fam while we play euchre on the weekends. Some whiskey and vodka in there, too. It has been fun and relaxing. We finally finished Mad Men! Great show. This quarantine has been good for my drinking--relegating it to the weekends and trying not to overdo it. I like it this way!

Yesterday I went for an 18-mile bikeride through town, up the highway, and down a trail through the woods. I had a good part of a baseball-bat blunt that I bought from the dispensary north of town a while ago. When I got pretty far into the woods, I started chiefin' and I got a little tooooo stoned: I don't smoke often anymore. I had an intense dialog with myself about a big breakup that happened recently. I think I wanted to get Too High so this would happen, but it bit me in the ass a little. Should have just taken baby rips like I normally do when I smoke these days.

The rest of the day was just coming down from that high. I called my sister, helped my dad build a square-foot garden thing, worked out some shit on guitar, ate some enchiladas. Looking back, it was a solid Sunday.

tl;dr: Drinking with fam is good. Smoking too much reefer by yourself is bad, but it turns out okay. I've felt a little foggy and low all morning, so I'm going out for a bird walk/cigarette walk in the woods.

cause instead of taking the car I went shopping with my bike, 13,3km to the shop and 14,9 back
now getting into the rest of the whiskeys at home

might even bust out the last crumbs of weed I brought from Holland last summer

I have found it to be completely the opposite.

I managed to kick the habit of smoking cigarettes during lockdown, which I am actually quite proud over. One day I will stop casually drinking most days but I feel like I gotta want to stop before I do it

Yeah you have to want to. I took about 6 weeks off around the time I posted that. Felt OK I guess and I'm proud - plus at the time I stopped I had just had a few days of drinking I wasn't happy with. Now I'm back to drinking in moderation and enjoying it. But yeah if I buy booze I tend to drink every day (only 1 or 2) so the self control is all exerted at the shops

I just watched La Planete Sauvage for the first time and I am so high and it is the greatest movie ever made.
