Yea, I knew her before Devi Ever existed (I guess a long time ago...). Didn't know how weird and bad stuff got. I stopped buying when I didn't like the quality of stuff I got. I'm not going to support any of her stuff (been looking around).

I like Dwarfcraft and am excited about the new stuff!

back at rfurtkamp...speaking purely for my own manifestly insignificant ILFself: Geez, I hope *my* generally slack usage of the commonly slung d-word-for-feminine-hygiene-product-signifying-bad-behavior is not deconstructable to transphobic or misogynistic anything, although I know I have no power over that interpretive process. I appreciate the back-stories and have nothing native *against* the artist formerly known as the artist formerly known as Devi Ever.... My pitchfork-picking-upitude has to do with what I view as a clearly wrong-headed and flat-out provocative series of recent *actions*. Though, fair enough, name calling is name calling and will always wrong foot you in an argument. As for others, idk for sure, but I really don't think this is *that* kind've place.

I loved the old Devi products, even with their flaws. I loved what Charlotte was trying to do around the time it all fell apart - some of my favorite personal pedals are from that era.

But there's no going back from the Kickstarter debacle at this point. There just isn't.

I don't do Kickstarters for *Anybody*, let alone for that dollar figure without a solid solid solid record of delivering. $10-20? Sure, #yolo. $300+? Nope.

But the stuff I loved is out of production, and I'm ok with that. I have the schematics (for which I am genuinely grateful to Devi for making available to everybody), I have the originals to clone exact versions from if I desire, etc.

I've moved on, trying to draw a line between some things i love and the problems surrounding the name and legacy. I guess that makes me an ungrateful, hateful sonofabitch.

I think this is a very important distinction. The person and the products. She really did influence a LOT of people with cool designs. That is why we were excited to work with her when she wanted out.
