Just picked mine up from the post office, and plugged it into the tiny terror combo for a good couple minutes. Didn't mess it with it long enough to dive into all those different settings or to try any dirt stacking or anything...But so far: Awesome value for money. A tad little less gain/saturated than what I expected, though that might be due to my jazzmaster's low output pu's I guess. Extremely useable pedlol, but for some reason I tend to NOT hold on to dirt pedals that have more than three controls. Also kinda drowning in nice dirt atm, but who knows. Something this versatile and cheap is always good to keep around.

Anyway, lotsa thanks to jwar for hooking me up, I owe you one bro

Yes, 100%.
The difference between how it reacts to my JM and SG are considerable.

Finally got mine a few days ago. Running it after my compressor and fuck. Sounds really good and the EQ is dope. Have it in place of my twosome rn to see how it does in a live setting. Ideally it'll replace the twosome.

I like it on my EMG equipped 8 string but it's a bit lackluster on my les paul tbh. The EQs aren't as potent as anticipated unless they're dimed.

Yeah, it needs a gain stage pre-EQ.

Tried my buddy's out this week. Going into a clean amp with no breakup (output level of pedal set low) it's in satisfying at any setting. With the level cranked and the amp breaking up, it's a very different animal and quite pleasing. There's still something not quite right about the EQ but I'm not sure what it is. Also whut up with the "Depth" knob? To my ears it does about nothing!

Are you using it for bass or guitar? Turning the depth knob up reduces the super low frequencies...so I think it's probably only really noticeable on bass. I use mine for guitar so I just turned it all the way up and assumed it is doing something but yeah, can't really tell.

The Depth is a high-pass set @ ~120Hz, it is subtle and only cuts about -5% below the frequency center. It is meant to clean up mud and whump when you are at stage volume with oversized cabs. At A=440 with guitar you won't hear much change at all.

IOW it is a bass cut set for way low frequencies.

Maybe it's more usefull for bass/baritone players, but I have to agree the depth control kinda feels like an extra control that was added for the sake of adding an extra control, even though it has no real noticeable function :idk:

Nonetheless, still an awesome deal imo. Not as much a poor man's The Elements as I assumed before I actually tried it. It's a different animal, it's just voiced a lot different imo, and it doesn't get as fuzzy or gainy. At medium gain settings I actually prefer it to the elements though, it sounds more 'open', less processed....For a lack of better pedal vocabulary

I like to keep the distortion super low and put it after everything for a nice little mid boost and slight bass cut. The rig I'm playing tends to be both icepicky and boomy so this helps even it out and bump up the presence without shredding my ears.

At first I didn't hear anything with the depth control, but on certain setups, I can definitely hear a difference. I'll try to record an example to demonstrate it

I've been tinkering with one of these for a few weeks now. My rig gets boosted into icepick territory when the gain is cranked, which can somewhat be tempered if treble frequencies are rolled down. I tend to get the best results with medum-high gain and somewhat-boosted EQ bands with a bit more mids, slightly cut bass, and moderate highs with my 6 string guitars. The depth control doesn't seem to tighten lows too significantly when the bass is fully boosted, though I seldom experiment with my 7 and 8 string axes. My preferred Boneshaker settings seem to be in the same ballpark as what the Friday Club PD100 can produce, only not quite as Matamp-ish.
