I need a restraining order against friggin Bank of America. I am super close to closing on a my first house. However, everyday, I think, that's it. Nothing more to do on MY part. I have turned in, and over, every financial document connected with my life. What more could they need? Well, about twice a day there is some damned document that needs a signature, explanation, or attention in order to break up the log jam. The "hard" closing date is supposed to be the 3rd of October, but we were trying for earlier. At this rate, I will be surprised if we close on time. Ugh...

The upshot in the midst of the shitstorm, is that I should be able to play drums at my new place. Yippie!! It might be worth it at that point. But from here, Jesus Fucking Christ!..

As a furniture mover, I experience people having trouble with closing on a house all the time. I never want to buy a house because of all that bullshit. Good luck. It'll be worth it.

Thanks guys. I had to be a bit firm with the bank today. They wanted some damned updated 401K statement that wont be out for a few days. I told them, what you see, is what you get. Either it's going to work, or it's not. My employment and income are more important than the small sum of money that I have going towards retirement, that I couldn't use to pay for a home ANYWAY! LOL..

In other news, I get to practice today. So at least that should be awesome.

So what's up with you guys?

So I am moved into my new pad, thanks in no small part to John. I have come to realize that I am missing a few hardware odds and ends to get up and running. I need to pick up another hi-hat stand, a bass pedal, and another throne. I have been doing a lot of computer window shopping and going down to the music store to kick the drum tires, sort of speak. I have been using really nice DW 9000 series hi-hat and double pedal. I don't think I will buy those again. One, they are WAAAAAAAAAAAAY expensive. I just rejected a used DW9000 hi-hat today the was shipped store to store from Guitar Center used. I am glad I inspected it there at the store. It had rust here and there and was super dirty. What ever happened to taking care of your shit? Anyway... I am either going to find something off of CL, or bite the bullet and get some new DW 5000 series bass pedal(s) and hi-hat. They are great and not as expensive as 9000. Shit... DW makes a direct drive double pedal that goes for $999.99!!!! Really? That's a little rich for my blood.

Don't like the idea of spending money to bring my house furnace back to life, but I could easily see spending money on some new hardware! WOOT!! :thumb:

Nice to have supportive friends. Actually. I have plenty of crap to sell on CL. I have my weight in cymbals that I could move along. Must go to sleep. Starting to see the morphing sheep again... :animal:

Got the old Tama Grandstars set up in the new place. It feels good to have a place to play. So good. :!!!: :animal: :!!!:

I played for a half hour or so, and no cops... so far...

My neighbor is cool. I introduced myself to him when I moved in. I was trying to get a bead on how cool he was going to be with my playing drums next door. He said, "I hope you don't mind loud motorcycles." I said, :"No." with a grin. He told me he rode Harley Davidsons. I said that that was cool and that I hoped he didn't mind some drums now and again. He said that was no big deal and that he just had a pretty big party for his and his wife's 40th anniversary. He said a live band came out, they had kegs of bear and all that. So THAT started off on the right foot. I am super stoked!

That's what you want in neighbors dude. When I lived in the suburbs I had total arseholes for neighbors. I live in the country now and hit the drums or crank the fuzz when I want now.
