Can forums have a "like" feature? You know... like Facebook.

'cause sometimes I see a post I appreciate but I'm too lazy to acknowledged it.

There is a few ways to do it with live drum kit:

my band is figuring out the most efficient ways to do that and we're going to try simply running the snare through a gate to the preamp > effects rig with a FX loop for an assortment of fuzz and dirt > EQ > modulation/reverb. Like Schlatte said. It's totally doable.

It doesn't differ much from driving the preamp tubes to nice little break up in studio. It's just those awesome crazy mofo ideas that are generally not considered seriously at all. Save that it should be a standard feature of the bands live set up, instead of just a fun/daft detail on album :whateva: For some reason, even though the same people tend to ask the sound guy by default for some extra reverb to the snare FX track. One reason is of course that bands just don't have the gear to do it, another is that they just don't see it important enough to take up having the little extra work for ti - and it takes a little extra money to do it, too.

:idk: Much like how the bass players rig and distortion are seriously overlooked by some sound guys even at bigger venues. Yeah well You didn't have to bring Your stack at all we're going to run the bass through a DI... oh, what, yeah well the fuzz on bass can be a nice thing if its used sparingly OH MY GOD STOP IT STOP IT STOP EEEEEEET! etc

Make Vimeo videos able to be embedded.
It never works when I try to do it.

Well apparently it works now. Just gotta make sure the "http://www." is on there because vimeo's addresses don't have it on there automatically.

BRING BACK SPACERITUAL.

Also, where's the Iron Ether hosted forum?

Perhaps SPACERITUAL can have his own sub-forum where he can spew whatever it is that he spews.

I'm interested in an Iron Ether hosted forum as well.

Would there be much interest in an ILF IRC or Tinychat room?

I'd love to have an IRC room to join in to talk to the guys'n'gals here. And tinychat's always cool because of the video feeds.

I can't really see the point of nuking threads, i.e. completely removing them from existence. Is their content so toxic that their mere existence is dangerous?

Why not just lock the thread and let it slowly drift away. This would allow people to keep up on the drama in the community without checking the forum constantly at all hours of the day, while keeping the drama from spreading.

Now that we have 2 separate 'Hosted' sections, how about moving the Shark Tank and Mammoth forums over with Nelson?

Hmm... I'll put that before the council at the next sacrifice.
