This pretty much. Phasers are always broken into categories based on "the" sound they can achieve (Small Stone, Phase 90, etc, etc). The Faye Sing covers a pretty huge variety though, touches on all of these a bit while having it's own character. It'll do the thick Small Stone thing or dial super thin and warbly-weird.
The mod stages and speed settings sound totally different as well = variety, expression rulez, and the Blend/Mix feature is super badass cuz you can put it after fuzz and dial in the intensity as opposed to struggling with phaser placement in relation to fuzz/dirt goddammit!

necromanceeeeeeer! Decided today, for the first time since I got my faye sing, to plug it in BEFORE fuzz instead of after. Instant eargasm. With high resonance it's just freaking incredible, with an exp pedal it destroys any wah I've ever played.

With Faye Sing->Algal Bloom both in the loop of the Upper, by using the expression pedal you can make it go between the fundamental and awesome overtones, or play everying pure octave up, and just generally destroy things.
^Cool vid btw.

I still need to find out if it can do the more subtle, darker sounds I was using it for post-dirt in the new postion, hopefully the mix control should let me do that.
But seriously, an exp pedal with the faye sing = the sexiest phaser/wah ever.

It's so beautiful... I contemplated taking it to school today just to look at it. JUST TO LOOK AT IT.

Tangentially related... how's the Second Voice?
I'm guessing the SV into the FS sounds sexy.

20% off Compact Faye Sing and/or Second Voice until the end of April. I'd recommend buying both.
