I had what seemed like a promising job interview at a hotel that's opening up here but I don't know now. It was hard to read how they felt, but I'm one of like 3 people they've interviewed, so maybe?
My son is also in the process of being screened for ADHD and autism, and I'm very confident that he has at least one of them. Which is fine, and something I can deal with but it's just one more thing on my plate. I'm also basically giving 1/3 of the money I make to a babysitter so that's fucking awesome.
Anyways, I'm alive, just very sad. I haven't been around much the last year or so and I really do miss this place. I feel so out of the loop.

Hey, thanks everyone! I'm having a way better day today. Had a big personal victory that I'm going to hold off on posting about until I have final confirmation, but I think my stress level is about to go WAY down

Locked myself out, which I discovered on getting home from a gig after one in the morning. Can't roust my roommate without also waking my landlord which would be a bad idea.
Currently discovering the late-night rhythms of this 24-hour A&W. (Update: the other patron, who's been mostly asleep/dead to the world for a couple hours now, is starting to moan.)
Hopefully they leave me be here 'til the subways start running again.

that happened to me at work once. thank god it was at 7:30 AM before the rest of the folks came in. i buggered off out of there and drove home with newspapers covering the seat so i wouldn't leak. one of the most mortifying experiences of my life. since then, i never try to push a fart.

i have at least one want-to-die moment every day, but i've begun to get good at counter-argument. "no, you don't really want to die, you just want things to be different. and there are other ways to accomplish this."

Because I'm a media whore, I just talk myself out of it with things like "well, The Mandalorian is gonna be badass and you don't wanna miss that. The sequel to Skyrim will be out in a couple years. There's a new Zelda and Metroid coming out."
