Ya, I avoid pork now though I did love me some pressed-Cuban sammiches once upon a time. I don't, however, need my coffee to be like meth. Greek coffee is a viable alternative if the need ever arises...and easier to find anyway.

First had it when I visited Newfoundland, a trip where I also got to enjoy cod tongue, seal flipper pie and moose spagetti. All of those far superior to any Cuban sammich I've ever tasted.

The Newfies also tried to tell me they invented funnel cake, a thing that I've had multiple other regions and people try to claim was their's. It's not. Funnel cake is about as Pennsylvania Dutch as it gets, and is frankly second only to shoofly pie in PA Dutch cuisine.

Making Cuban coffee is p easy though. I'm actually surprised that they sell the legit coffee and everything needed here in Boston.

I need my coffee to be strong enough to kill a man. During my undergraduate days I would be crazy enough to combine cold brew with an espresso shot and dark chocolate. I don't think I can even go near a drink like that anymore without going into cardiac arrest.
