After the week I've had....
Speaking of....
Cat is better but now she's taken to screaming into my face every night around 1:30 and 4 am because apparently she owes it to me for taking me to the vet.
So work has been filled with people doing a shitty job at their job, me having to pick up the slack, and then getting shit on for not doing a good job even though I was trying to fix things.

Yeah, a 9 year age difference (esp at 21) is a big deal. I can't imagine what I would have in common to talk about with a 21 yo kid.

Half plus seven, bro. Ms. Diver and I are 7.5 years apart but emotionally she's probably older than me
But yeah, at 21 it could be weird for her unless she has a thing for older guys. That being said, you miss all the shots you don't make, so worst she does is say "nope" and that's that.

Yep, half plus seven. I thought Parks & Rec made it up but it seems to be a thing.
Thankfully I’m not dating, but that math still seems low in my case. And really favors dirty really old men.

Ehhh I disagree. I knew a very happily married couple who were 30 years apart when they got married. She was 18 but it worked out. She's one of the sweetest human beings I've ever known too. When her husband passed away, it was so freaking sad.

I know this great lady because I worked with her for a decade.
Age doesn't always matter. Maturity levels do however. Some people are further ahead mentally at 21 than others in their 30's (which is sad as shit).
Me personally, I'm almost 3 years older than my wife. My dad is 6 years older than my mom. I think it's ok. That's just my opinion though.
I can see the view point of why it could be perceived as inappropriate though.
