Local guy is selling an HM2 and I'm thinking of hopping on it but I feel like he's going to ask for too much. There honestly can't be that many people trying to get that particular buzzsaw tone? Okay -- I guess there are a million bands trying to do that.

His is MIJ which is nice but I really don't want to pay more than $60 bones.

mine in MIJ too...i don't know if i buy the whole MIJ being superior to the others...not that i've A/B'd them...but from what i hear online i don't think it makes a difference, or enough of a difference to justify the price variance.

I definitely agree with the subtle is better on these things. A gradual curve seems to be where things end up. I can understand whisks approach because....Whiskey.

MOAR!!!!!

my buddies have always laughed at me for how I EQ my shit.

dime everything, roll back treble (and or presense) until dark.
done.

not this 1:30 bass 3:17 mids and 2:45 treble shit.

however the redbear was perfect on 666, boost to taste. . .

poops gimme that map back

nmv v2?

It's actually a vt-40 that someone converted to a head, technically. I believe it has a master volume, but i'm just going to dime that part and then use the normal volume for my actual "volume" settings. I've owned 3 Ampegs in the past. A v4, a v2, and a vt-22 that someone had converted to a head. They're the shit. I'm basically looking to switch to a clean rig and use different pedals. This will be great for that.

While I've never used an EQ pedal, I use both of these pretty regularly to serve a similar purpose.

that AMT looks sweet.

i don't buy into the Mij vs. Mit HM-2... i have the 'shitty' one and it sounds fucking massive. you just have to use them right, really. the everything dimed setting sounds good and classic, but if you only do that you'll be
neglecting the pretty effective EQ at your disposal. it has much more than that to it. i'll still want to get my hands on a left hand path though.

new Flittering album up for streaming
https://speedritualrecords.bandcamp.com ... appearance

tracked it with a Ampeg VH150 and a Sunn Concert Lead. redface.

Got my Fender M80 in and tried it out today. No video test yet... but damn it sounds great. I didn't even have to sit there and dial anything in. it's great esp for the price I got it for.

got a refund on that silverface concert lead I got in recently. don't even have to send it back.

Fuzz throne and a couple others? I'm sure he'll pop in and clarify.

One of the etched pedals he posted a little bit ago was for them, I think -- and yeah I think it was a sooped up FT of some sort.
