I got a bottle of this curiosity at the international grocery store. "Kooksoondang makgeoli"...it's some kinda rice wine/beer?
It tastes sorta like alcoholic milk, with a slightly rice-y flavor. I kinda like it though, there isn't a bitter aftertaste and it doesn't feel like I'm drinking shitty beer, considering it was like $4. Weird.
Here's hoping it doesn't give me an instant headache like most beers.

I am really rather fucking drunk.

I'm not working for the rest of this week until monday, so it seemed like a smart idea to get really wasted. Anyway, I was recording something a bit ago, and I am astonished at my voice while I'm drunk. I mean, it's eerie. I don't sound like myself. I am normally very timid and soft-spoken. My voice comes out in a kind of croak, even when I am by myself, because I'm always nervous of being overheard if I don't speak quietly. Drunken confidence/obliviousness helped me to hear what I actually sound like, possibly for the first time in my life, without all the sober, anxiety-induced baggage I normally carry. It's super weird. I have never liked my voice, and I don't particularly like the sound of it, even when I speak clearly due to intoxication (ironic, huh?), but it's really strange, and I have listened to this single, second-long phrase I spoke into the mic as a title reference at least a dozen times.

I can't get over how much it doesn't sound like my voice. It's just weird. I sound like a gay guy from Sacramento, BTW. I learned that about myself today. I've never even been to Sacramento.
