I need a story to keep me interested. Sandboxes usually just don't pack enough character development for me too.

murp.

I can understand that, but not accomplishing anything doesn't really bother me in vidya. For example, I've had Oblivion since it came out, and have yet to finish the main story...I spend all my time punching deer and pretending I'm a ninja jumping from roof to roof and stabbing people. But I have problems focusing on storylines anyways so maybe I'm just weird

I totally get you. I have well over 150 hours logged in each of morrowind and skyrim and i've completed the main quest once in morrowind, never in skyrim. And I STILL want to play them both and just go exploring shit.

GTA5 should be interesting. Basically a sandbox with three different protagonists that you can switch between.

What about games you're looking forward to next year? On the list for me is Metro: Last Light, Bio Shock Infinite, maybe Metal Gear. and the new Gears of War.

If you use an Australian proxy thing like FlyVPN you can play Farcry 'cause it's out there. Game's awesome.
My friend says it's "funny" if you go out of the map boundaries in a boat and dive into the water.

Please tell me what happens 'cause open water freaks me out, even if it's in a game
There's this one mission involving a big ship and if you die on the boat, you respawn in the water about 200 feet away...fuuuuuuuck...

I loved FC2 and everything I've heard about 3 has been super positive.

You can punch sharks. Punch the shit out of 'em. Gators too.
I never played the first one, but FC3 is so much better than FC2 it's crazy. They fixed a lot of the smaller annoyances.
I am pissed about the lack of my favorite weapon, the Carl Gustav...I wasn't any good with the "real" guns in multiplayer so I decided to just rock the uzi/Gustav kit.

The day I discovered that you could fire the rocket straight up, then aim at a rooftop and absolutely destroy enemy snipers was...amazing.
