Why even go to them?

Getting laid off is better than getting fired?

That's definitely true, but I'd probably be extremely likely to skip that meeting. Unless you think they'd use it as an excuse to fire you, which would be WAY fucked up...

Naw, we all argued that it was stupid and the rest of the management conceded so we all bolted.

I actually care about the company and we do good, needed work... but money and good work don't always go together, especially for a donation-driven non-profit. They had to tighten their belt to an extreme degree for next school year, which meant they had to let us go. I would have hard feelings, but it's hard to feel angry when you saw your boss almost break down in tears when giving my team the news. :idk:

That's the way it goes man, and you're right. It's easy to be upset but it's not really the companies fault. Either way I'm sorry that's how it's going down.

The worst man. The worst. I had a few in my time. One went bad after a while and had to be pulled. That sucked ;)

My mom was an insanely aggressive bitch all day today to my fiance and me because we slept through our alarm and missed church. Nothing else. Nevermind the fact that we cooked Easter lunch and cleaned the house for her, sacrificed our anniversary weekend for her, and she bitched about my brother-in-law spending the weekend with his mom instead of my sister like a total fucking hypocrite. Then she proceeded to cry to my sister about it and had her try to guilt trip me into throwing myself at her feet.

Yeah, fucking holidays. So much family drama. Only spent 40 minutes at my sister's house until I had enough bullshit. Fucking whiny nephew (17) taking up a whole couch. Found out the one princess niece (21) is getting a free load so she can save to move to California and for a new car while her older brother (24) is paying rent to my sister and getting the talk from my dad about getting a real job now that he graduated. His girlfriend is working full time and trying to finish school full time while also paying rent to my sister and living in different room. And they are getting pressured to get married now...clearly they haven't figured them out. Fuck them all. Really. Can't wait until they all move and I don't have to ever see them again.

This is the closest thing I can post in I guess, but I came home from a pretty successful comedy show to find a half empty closet and a couple note cards filled up with reasons my girlfriend moved out. I'm tempted to use my PTO and just spend today seeing how drunk I can get.

I moved three hours away to minimize that kind of bullshit. After yesterday I’m seriously considering putting in for relocation to a different state to put more miles between us and my family.
