Here's another thing I didn't get. MAJOR SPOILER!

NSFW: show
In the end after Ovi dives off the diving board, he sits under the water for a minute like Tyler did (Chris Hemsworth) in Australia. Then he has a vision that was similar to Tyler's (the ones with his son being blurry). How in the fuck is he alive? Like seriously, there is zero way that's believable. If that fucker shot him, he was probably shooting with a 50 or a .338, something that would shred his ass. Those were vital shots. One looks like it went into him almost sideways. How could it travel at a downward velocity and miss all the vital organs? If it hit the vitals, how would he have survived? It makes no sense. Goddamn action movies and their terrible plotting. LOL

Edit - BAD TIMES AT THE EL ROYALE. that one. i liked it. not amaaaaazing, but a good movie.
I really wanted to enjoy it, but I went to college with the guy at the desk, and all I could think of whenever I saw him in the movie was him drunk and buck naked pissing in my closet.

That would definitely sour a movie experience

that is a probably unique, but insurmountable, issue to have with a movie. kudos food suh. KUDOS.

gun stuff in movies is WEIRD.

i tried to like the I Loved Usual Suspects And Heat I'LL TRY TO COMBINE THEM AND MAKE Wait No I SUCK movie.... Den of Thieves? but fuck me. stuff like having a felon casually shooting guns at a range made me think of (i don't think it's a spoiler but just in case?)
NSFW: show
in Extraction where every time someone shoots someone at helllllla range it's Video Game Logic, if you get the red dot on them booyahkah
and pulled me out of what little immersion i had.

I liked Big Time Adolescence.
It was kind of depressing though.

man i always forget how much i love Tarantino. Djang is hard for to watch, i can't even relate to thinking of people as property and there's so much casual and awfulness in it (kinnnnda the point i guess?) but fuck me that's an amazing movie.

always end up watching his stuff in reverse order. just got done with Hollywood, after Django will probably go through Inglorious Basterds. then Jackie Brown? those are some of my favorites of his.

OUATI Hollywood is a real good time, but the messaging of it is kind of suss. kinda feel like tarantino's movies suffer from association with tarantino the person

I just watched the first episode and you're dead on, wow.
It's interesting. Kinda reminds me of Superjail but with philosophical discussion.
I'd rather just watch Superjail

That's why I was saying the sniper scene was so laughable, the dude was shooting an SL8, which fires 5.56, from a mile away or some bullshit. Then the terrorist kid shows up and dropped him with an AKM, which should've been all she wrote. But even then, they still did the Jason Bourne ending bullshit.

Just watched Atlantics (Atlantique) on Netflix. Interesting film, it is shot very beautifully and it feels very dreamlike. I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, it's super slow and it definitely falls down a bit on the dialogue but it looks great and has an intriguing atmosphere, overall I enjoyed it.

It was overall decent, but there were some plot lines that really dragged out farther than they should've.
