Instagram is seriously the only social media platform I use, but even then I don't follow my friends - just artsy and meme pages.
yeah. i haven't really used facebook in a while (other than the messenger which is still useful) and haven't really missed it that much. i just kinda miss the social media thing of convenient not-loneliness.

Not (technically) corporate, but I would like some advice, anyway. Just general life advice, maybe?
i do. life is full of absurdity, sprinkled with horrible things and amazing things. once you realize you have no control over that. life becomes a lot easier.

I deleted my Facebook a couple of years ago, and don't have a single regret or desire to go back. I'm currently debating doing the same with Twitter.

As for the hollywood thread, I don't think there's any point in playing psychologist or sociologist, but I will say there's some really interesting, and sometimes scary, things happening to our [Western] society's ability to interact with other people.

Unrelated, today at work I did something to tweak my back and now I can't move from the couch. My wife has had to care for me like some large baby all night.

I have to leave ILF. My ex is stalking me here and holding everything I write against me. I love this community, but I need to be able to talk freely and safely. If I change my username, it will inevitably be tied to me. It sucks and I don't know what to do.

That's awful. I actually suspect that's what happened to another poster (our friend with an impressive gear flipping habit). Alias account and PM's is all I can suggest.

Same. I kept Twitter for a while after deleting Facebook a few years back, but as the world population is collectively entering a deep psychosis I don't think I can use that service either.

There was never a single moment that I wanted my Facebook account back after I deleted it years ago.

Re: my post on the last page--I've had a similar situation play out on other platforms, which is why I've been a little more careful here lately.

Get that alt, talk about gear, escape reality.

So someone hacked into my Facebook and Spotify accounts. That was awesome.

You mean with his second account?
Because I know he lost the UG account because he forgot the password or something.

Not him sorry. I'm talking about a very specific friendly (he's a fan favorite here) flipper who enjoy SS/BS pedals.

UG only started flipping pedals recently anyway.

I’m keeping tabs on that guy. He’s having a rough moment, but still musicing and surviving. Talked a day or two ago.

I speculated something was up. I know a couple people here talk to him "offline". Thanks for the update.
