That's one of my main criticisms of how he practices business.

Yeah, I'll give you (and anyone that bases their argument on his being a dick in business rather than him not knowing what he's doing) that one.
I have no problem with arguing against Trumps business ethics or morality, but I'm tired of people underestimating Trump like they've done this entire election due to the apparent belief that belittling your opponent and painting them as "stupid" will make everyone else start to believe that depiction.

I don't know what to say Rusty. I have no clue what your life experiences are. You claim that it is foolish beyond belief to ascribe all (or even most?) personal failures to racism, sexism, and homophobia. I don't know if you've personally experienced these things, so how do we talk about this. And sorry, white people in America have not experienced racism. That is foolishness. You claim that one's race or gender or sexuality should not matter as much as skill in opportunities. Many studies have proven this false, have proven race is a huge contributing factor in hiring and job opportunities. I don't know. Maybe you're gay and constantly facing homophobic attacks, and if that's the case i'm sorry and i do not mean to be presumptuous. But until you do live it, i don't really expect you to understand it. It's cool though. Victimhood is boring and i'd rather focus on other things. Hilary is going to be crushed under the weight of those balloons. Donald Trump will lead America and we'll all laugh when we become a million consciousnesses without bodies in an ocean of sentience, all intermingling.

Chankgeez wrote:Not to discount Trump's resilience or whatever as a businessman (obviously, he's not afraid to keep tryin'), but what does 4 bankruptcies say about his business judgement?
Also, not to mention the people he's disregarded on his way to those 4 bankruptcies.

I don't see that as a positive attribute.
Also, big business isn't big government. Yeah, they have some similarities, but also a whole mess of differences.
4 bankruptcies say nothing about his business judgement. He's owned a ton of different businesses, not all of them are going to succeed. That's how business works. Especially when you're wealthy. You open up shit, hope to make some cash, if you don't, you close that shit.
He used the bankruptcy laws to his advantage every time and walked away still wealthy. Plus he has never been personally bankrupt, which means he's smarter than most would give him credit for as he did not leverage his businesses with his own personal wealth.
Big government and big business are completely different. That's why I think it's funny as hell that people keep bringing the shit up. They think that his business dealings somehow make him less qualified. No. It makes no difference. What makes him less qualified is he has NO political background and can't keep his story straight on how he feels about different policies and that he back pedals on half the stuff that comes out of his mouth.
I also think it's hilarious how many people have blinders on in regards to Hillary. For instance I have a guy I'm friends with who is gay, he love Hillary because she's for equal rights. Well it wasn't that long ago that she was singing a different tune about that. She has said what she can to make her political stance with the people seem more appealing. Just like Trump, but he's appealing to a different crowd obviously.
They are both lying ass POS. I will say that they all are though. Everyone that runs for President, good intentions or not, is lying to get their foot in the door. Bernie wouldn't have delivered even half of what he said he would, but people will believe what their hearts believe.
They are all self serving dicks that need to fuck off.
Man I wish we could just do away with this fucking two party system bullshit and be done with it. I'm not a Republican or Democrat and never will be.

2 power hungry boomer children of privilege.
One has been the subject of dozens of well-funded private investigations over the last 25 years. The other has taken the highly unusual step of not releasing his tax returns. They are both distasteful individuals but I think we know a lot more about one.

Better the devil you know.
Also, Trump's clear incompetence on foreign policy is the most terrifying thing about the idea of him being president.

agreed: Not saying I fully trust Hilary, but at minimum she is respected around the world.
Trump is pretty much a giant joke outside of the US, from the sample of people I have talked to.

We know why he's not releasing his tax returns, though. If there's one thing that would actually hurt him with his base it's the fact that that this billionaire is paying capital gains tax on his income -- and there is no doubt that this is exactly what he's doing, he would be a complete imbecile not to -- rather than 'actual' income tax (i.e. paying 20% tax instead of 40% or whatever the numbers actually are)

Also I don't like the insinuation that Trump isn't a joke inside the US.
Gallows humor, maybe, but still a joke.

hey almost 40% of 38% of the eligible voting population 57% of our country roughly 60%

take trump kindof seriously - If I am doing my math right that means that almost 10% of our total population actually support trump which sadly is enough to get someone nominated by a major party for president
