Getting some serious Tomita vibes with the Mercury7. Playing Debussy with the different pitch options is so magical. The textures are something else.

That demo is amazing!
Any ideas on when that manual will be done Meris folks? I know it's probably a complicated thing, so I'm not in a huge rush, it would just be helpful to refer to instead of forum threads.
Really, I need a manual more for the Ottobit Jr than the Mercury7. The Mercury7 seems a tad easier to wrap my head around for whatever reason.

My Mercury 7 and Ottobit have arrived, although I've had minimal time to play with them so far. First impressions are highly favourable. Much like jwar, I feel like I got the hang of the Mercury 7 very quickly (although I haven't tried all the alt functions yet). The Ottobit will definitely take a little more time to figure out properly.

I didn't even know the Ottobit could loop...back to the manual! Wait...

I don't believe the Ottobit can loop in the way we're thinking. It just loops the sequence. So if you set up your sequencer to 6-steps and play a note, you can have it loop the sequence x number of times, so when the 6 steps have finished, it will start over. But you can't record a lick and play over it.
At least I don't think... if this thing has a record feature too, then that's awesome!

Ahhh that makes sense. I knew it could do that. I just haven't dove into it as much as I have the Merc7.
Question here. Is there a way to reset the settings on these?? I've got the sweeps set up on the Ottobit a certain way, and I kind of hate it now lol. So I'd like to be able to start from the beginning.

Yeah too bad they didn't include any way for you to hold a button and twist the knobs to adjust that. Bummer

You can also use an exp pedal to change everything. So really you can program a sequence you like at the 'heel' of the exp pedal's travel and another at the 'toe.' If you were clever, you would vary the intervallic leaps you program on each step of the sequence (heel on step one at -1 octave, toe at step one at +1 octave; heel at step 2 at -1 octave, toe at step two at +7 semitones or whatever), meaning that as you moved it from heel to toe, the sequence would basically change in asymmetrical ways that could really give you shit ton of sequences depending on where the pedal is at in its travel.
But no, it doesn't loop like a Ditto or whatever. It loops like a sequencer.

I think you guys are misunderstanding what I'm saying. LOL. So I set the pedal up to sweep all six parameters at once. I would like to stop the sweep of certain parameters. How do you do that? Obviously it's easy to change the sweep, but I don't want any sweep.
Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fuck you guys.

That sad part is, it probably is really simple to change, but I'm overlooking it. Sigh. The start up guide is so hard to read, I actually struggled reading it with my glasses on. Ugh. lol
These are awesome pedals though. No doubt.
I can't wait to see what else they come out with.

Set the toe up position the way you want it, then pull and reinsert the TRS cable at the pedal. It will copy all the toe up setting to toe down.

Otherwise you have to do it manually for each knob. For each one that's different at toe up just put it at the same setting as toe down.

This pedal really needs a computer editor to support all the buried features and functionality. You could set up a preset in an app editor in 30 seconds that takes 5 minutes to set up now even if you know exactly what you want.

I think you need to do some MIDI trickery and Irish dancing for that.
Should be possible though, with some ES-8 programming. Will think about it once I have some time.
